Good fucking question. HuK hasn't done nearly enough to be compared to daigo. We'll see in ten years.

That lone Korean competitor is none other than Lee Yun Yeol, NaDa, the Tornado Terran, and second Bonjwa - who is finally stepping on North European soil after a cancelled DreamHack summer appearance. By far the most decorated players in Brood War history, the six time champion has partnered with SK-Gaming to try and add foreign titles to his resume. Flash is just as decorated, and jaedong almost as much. That statement kind of annoys me.

Maybe because of the eat or be eaten nature of the ESPORTS world, the fans of the present only remember the MSL and OSLs as the majors, and perhaps they deserve to be because of their perseverance and legacy. But Nada won numerous other competitions that featured the best pro-gamers of the time and significant prize purses, which just didn't survive as long as the illustrious SL duo. The Premiere League, and GemTV tournaments come immediately to mind.

In terms of medals alone, NaDa has two more MSL silvers than Flash (3 compared to 1). And if you look at their respective achievements, NaDa has won far more small events than Flash, because most of them no longer exist. It's completely fair to say that NaDa is still the most decorated Brood War player of all time, and I really think that Flash would have to win two more starleagues to completely overshadow NaDa's numerous smaller victories. Flash is obviously the better player, but NaDa's list of achievements on Liquipedia is still three times longer.

Maybe in raw numbers they haven't won as much as Nada but it's not their fault they didn't have as many tournaments to win. Is Usain Bolt less decorated then Michael Phelps because he only won 3 olympic gold medals in Beijing vs Phelps' 8?

I think that's what I'm going for here :o
