Obviously there are a couple sides to every story. That said, Xeris has proven himself to be a douche on numerous occasions so it's hard to know what exactly the truth is. Well, on one hand we have multiple people who have no ties of friendship to bind them saying the exact same thing about how it went down, on the other hand we have Xeris' friends saying things like "he did remark on his hard work." Yeah.

Yeah. Gotta say the wording made me laugh. Basically said 'Well he did say that yeah... BUT ANYWAY'

So this thread will be all I hear about how awesome the event was.... shame Do you not watch GSL, NASL or any other event that doesn't release replays? And good to hear the crowd was awesome. I knew it just seemed lack luster on the stream because of the set up. I mean the entire crowd gave Boxer and MMA a standing ovation after their series and we could barely hear it.

Gotta mic it up better, while not overdoing it so it blows out peoples speakers. Craig Ferguson does that well on his late night show - He has like <100 people but the laughter sounds much larger because his tech people really mic up the crowd volume without it sounding buzzy or crackly.

GSL and NASL cast every single game that is played. MLG casts what like, 10% of the games played at the tournament? Not at all the same situation.

I would really just like to see him have some response, be it an apology, clarification, anything other than silence.

This is probably mega-derailed from the thread topic by now, but anyway, that sounds almost exactly like the other accounts of what happened, indicating why Xeris did something uncool. You can't take seats if they're assigned seating, doesn't matter if there's not even anyone there. Isn't that the point of assigned seating? >_>

He said yes and immediately took my mouse pad back to day9, got the autograph and then contacted me on twitter later that night to return the mousepad to me in the hotel lobby. It was so cool that he went so far out of his way to help out a single fan <3. He also gave his pizza to a friend of mine after overhearing how hungry he was and no I'm not kidding about that. wow sundance seems awesome

I dunno what the stream did to dull it out, but I do know that if the stream noise comes specifically from only the MICS of the casters, than there's a reason it was so quiet, as day9 and wheat were in a completely separate area from the stage floor (as evident by day9 coming out of a side entrance when he said he'd come out for autographs) From the stream, I had no idea the crowd cheered that loud when Boxer won. That video is nuts. Live crowds ftw <3
