Seriously, Xeris has been a community contributor since the days of BW. You can bash NASL all you want (because it definitely did have its problem), but you cannot say that NASL did not do a good thing for e-sports (though I've actually seen some people with bigger self-entitlement issues actually say so) and you cannot say the Xeris did a big part in advancing that. Xeris has brought us Fnatic.MSI with his hard work as well. It is two random reddit posters vs Xeris. I think I'm going to give Xeris the benefit of the doubt. That is some flawed ass logic youve got there Same reasoning leads to the flagrant abuse seen in many communities by the police, its just "random people" vs "upholders of justice." I've heard xeris has had his head up his ass a few times before this, no surprise here Flawed logic? Seriously, he is not saying that people should not give Xeris crap IF he did that, he wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. Nobody mentioned that Xeris should get a special treatment, but its ridiculous how many people are bashing Xeris based on a reddit thread where only 2 people seem to be the only ones saying it. No evidence or anything. From what I see, Xeris has a lot more to lose from this than the other people claiming that they totally saw Xeris doing that. This is borderline Highschool drama. Of course if proof emerges that it was actually Xeris, then yeah people have all the right to dislike him but so far I think its fair to at least give Xeris the benefit of the doubt Rofl what do you think this is like Guess the Pokemon? It was Xeris, people know what he looks like And no, i don't really see why we should have to hear his side. No one has anything to gain by saying "some guy stole my seat for no particular reason" before even knowing who it was whereas Xeris has much to gain from justifying his actions. Well, some people do have something to gain though. Lulz. And it's not unheard of people lying to aquire some. Still, I believe the story, it sounds genuine and there's at least 5 people confirming it, might be more by now. And regarding the action itself: disrespectful, distasteful and frankly - fucking stupid. I mean, I'm pretty sure that Fnatic doesn't really like having people on their payroll with this kind of behavior. It gives off a bad image. People have lost jobs for way less. Nah Fnatic's players are all somewhat similar online I don't think any of their players gg or say anything in the beginning of the game even if you say gl hf or something first.
But Sen is awesome.
EDIT: Maybe you are just talking about TT1? Lol.

That behavior isn't really in the same league as what Xeris supposedly did though.

Upon returning from a bathroom break/whatever they noticed a bald guy sitting in their seats. This bald guy was Sundance. Without knowing, they had asked Sundance to move and he happily obliged, without making it known who he was. The next time that they get up they decide to leave some personal effects on their seat as a way of indicating that the seat was occupied. I'm told by people that attended MLG that this was fairly common practice. Xeris, when noticing two unoccupied seats, takes it upon himself to displace the items on the seat. When told the purpose of the items he was throwing onto the floor and that those seats were being held for winners of a contest Xeris had this to say, "I won these too ... through hard work." Really Xeris? MLG management: respectful members of the community, awesome event all around. NASL management: will throw your shit on the ground. Wow... No words. Xeris needs to see this so he can give his side of the story.
http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/j61w2/fnatics_xeris_steals_vip_seats_from_contest/
Looks like he is a pure and simple asshole, if this is true.
"When they returned, Xeris basically explained that he was more important than them, and deserved to be there much more than they did.
They eventually got a MLG staff member, but apparently Xeris was so 'important' that the two contest winners were forced to move. I'm not sure where they ended up.
Me and my friend were discussing how much of a jerk he was (loudly enough so that he could hear us), and he turned to us to say : "I won these seats too... through years of hard work.", and then laughed.
Didn't really know how to respond to that, so I just let it go at that."
I met xeris IRL at WCG US finals that I was supposed to cast in NYC. I can confirm: he is a dick. I was standing watching either idra or machine playing and he literally walked and stood right in front of me - as in my shirt was touching his. I tapped him on the shoulder and asked him "excuse me, is there a reason you stepped right in front of me?" to which he replied "I felt like it" so I told him to "get out of my fucking way before I make you get out of my fucking way."
eg.colbi was standing next to me and said "dude, this is motherfucking xeris." I not so calmly replied "I don't give a fuck who he is, you don't get in front of someone like that" (other than incontrol maybe, he's a much bigger guy than me) and he got out of the way.
If he didn't, I was planning on pushing him over the midget barrier >:D

MLG had a lot of space to work with so I am pretty sure that they had the casters on another floor away from the crowd itself. Yeah I was at Columbus and anaheim and the crowd at anaheim was a good deal louder, it was amazing.

Can we not bash Fnatic because of the actions of one person? For the most part Fnatic seems like a pretty manner/solid team.
As to the situation with Xeris, I hope to god there is some other side to the story. I can't imagine how someone can be so ridiculously arrogant, without joking/sarcasm. It doesnt matter how much you've done for the community, it does not entitle you to belittle others.
