Champions like wukong suffer in team fights and are generally better 1v1 anyway so the passive is just really amazing..free items yes plz. I wonder if wukongs ulti will proc red buff is that possible? and to the dude confused phantom dancer was a dota hero with a spell called dopplewalk that was pretty similar to decoy..made a clone and stealthed the dancer but the ai in dota was programmed differently for the decoy.

There was no special AI for Phantom Lancer clones. Seeing as DotA was just on the WC3 engine, you controlled them the way you control units in SC.

Phantom lancer in dota has a windwalk which spawns an image (controllable) which moves in the direction you were moving. A seamless transition between invisibility and the appearance of the image. In the early versions whoever was working on the triggers for phantom lancer had a hard time making the skill work perfectly. EDIT: lolz my reply was late The only command given to PL's illusion was a short move command

The way the PL clone worked tho was it would "remember" the last command given to PL before the clone. So basically if you were at mid tower and right-clicked next to the second tower then used decoy, your clone would continue to move towards the second tower rather than stopping at the place of cast similar to how Wukong's clone works. This was neat in that it helped juking a LOT better than Phreak's stupid "stop-juke" in that you could easily send your clone one direction and walk the opposite way, even without manually controlling the clone.

I didn't even say anything wrong...the ai for the dopplewalk in dota is different than the ai for decoy in lol. I never said phantom dancer had special ai, even though it kind of did. Ryuu pointed out that there were cool little tricks you could do with phantom dancer unique to only him. I liked it better than wukong as well because you could use it while running and the clone would run in the exact direction you were when you used it so it looked like same phantom. I'm pretty sure there was some subtle way of knowing that he used it within the second he does but i cant remember.

#1 thing to do while trying to escape is to stop and do nothing, obviously.

He might mean the AI where the clone will continue the action set by the player. If you say, move here, and then hit the clone mid way, the clone will go to that location, as will you.

I just dont get it. Most top players, or anyone with a brain can play a character once and tell if he is any good. Maybe you miss an item build, but you can generally tell if the kit has any sort of cohesion. Does riot just never play these remakes out?

He gets crit by having fury. And he builds fury very slowly without aspeed. And the only REAL way to get crit is to crit, which you need crit chance for, which you get buy building pd. Which has aspeed. Plus there is a jax, so he needs the no dodge blade.

Makes sense, but rushing PD was never a good idea on any champ. I think laning tryn with a gunblade rush or something would probably be stronger and more efficient. Takes advantage of the 1:1 AP and AD ratios on E, along with the crazy sustain from his Q. AAAaaaand he just beat a Jax 1v1 rofl Monkey is out!

The time when he needs aspd most is in early jungle so he'll rune for it, which is 20-40%. Zerks are probably the most sensible boots either way so that's another 25%, so he's not hurting for aspd with 45%-65% aspd after runes. Because of how fury drains gradually, you'll generally have about 30% natural crit, meaning that the most sensible stats to buy are crit damage and AD (i.e. IE).
