Also, wait, do you want discussion about Wuking here or in the Patch Notes thread? I are confused. Also: NO BLIND ON CORKI AND SOLARIUM JANNA QQ. Do you guys really want a summary of the last few pages of the previous thread? This is more or less a cut off for an ending of the old GD and the start of a new one. Jinro does monthly SC2 GD threads for some time now. It may seem abrupt, yes. But it keeps the GDs slightly more organized and doesn't get as massive in short periods of time. Keep talks about the new patch in the patch thread that I linked in the OP. Everything else can go in here. I'll be making new GDs every time Riot releases a new patch (instead of the monthly reset like Jinro does).

Old Travian threads would have been immense as well, if they weren't divided up into 3 parts. Our LoL GD threads are even bigger if it was just one thread as well. But overall, the head honcho Reds have said that they don't like the giant GD threads for whatever reason. We were given a subforum, despite TL.net being a SC site, so might as well keep things neat.

1. LoL GD threads have a tendency to be very active and become rather bloated after several months. While some of us take a little pride in such a big thread (myself included), it's rather difficult to keep track of the "discussions" going on in such a GD if you don't check it daily. 1a. A newcomer to our subforum would be rather deterred to try to read a thread with 1K pages, it's rather hard to catch up. 2. While I don't have the official numbers, I would say our GD easily produces 10 new pages every 24 hours. 2a. Our previous GD ran for 8 months and it had 23K posts. That's over 5x the size of your average StarCraft livereport thread. 2b. KPop thread in the TL.net General forum has 29K posts but it took 2+ years for it to reach that size. 3. Megathreads tend to produce a lot of spam posts and end up being counterproductive to discussion, which is the main point of the GD thread. Often times, people will make useless points (in our case, a lot of huehuehue posts) just because the thread is already so massive. I don't want to have to warn for those kind of posts (partly because I sometimes make those kind of posts too, huk). So it helps with general quality when there is more transparency in a brand new thread. Forum users feel more accountable for their posts when the thread isn't thousands of pages long. 4. Because of our collective activity, we were given a subforum on TL.net. While Mafia and Travian don't exactly count, LoL is the first separate computer game that the Reds were ok with creating a new section for. We are expected to keep things as orderly here as with the rest of the site. While we may not like having to deal with a new GD regularly now, I hope everyone at least understand why it's being implemented.

You'll never defeat the KPop Thread (posts) + SFW Picture Thread (views). /cackle Wukong's kit is too gimmicky, imo. A free stealth + an aoe moving knockup is pretty damn strong, so if he actually has decent damage, he's gonna be the new release vayne. Naturally, Phreak is terrible and took ghost, but any decent Wukong is going to pick flash and flash+ult, just like alistar + pulv. Since he gets so much free tankiness + the free stealth, he's gonna be able to do a really powerful initiate with minimal risk. Also, I, too, think Galio is going to be on the OP side of things. This free week is going to be hell :[. Katarina, Nunu, Sion, Teemo, Veigar, Zilean, Shen, Malz, Urgot, Leona. Fk. On a thread-related note: it seems a little peculiar to have a patch note discussion thread, while we are also changing the general thread based on patches.

While we may not like having to deal with a new GD regularly now, I hope everyone at least understand why it's being implemented. We should just have a proper subforum with even more subforums - general discussion, tournament discussion, etc. Or maybe you can ask Hot_Bid whether TL would like to expand to LoL and have a LoL site? It would probably all the rage since the community on TL is way better than any other LoL community.

Yeah, I know it's a little counter-intuitive. I may end up just closing the Patch Notes thread tbh. I still haven't decided what setup is most effective... "We are a StarCraft site first and foremost." afaik, they are a little apprehensive/reluctant to expand the TL.net name into another genre of gaming. I can understand their trepidation.
