Also maps like crossfire, crevasse and some GSL maps are way better than the current map pool and they are really balanced and well made. But no, blizzard is like 'our game, our maps' and chooses to add some shit maps that look almost exactly the same and have fucking rocks everywhere. (it seems like Blizzard is addicted to rocks) When will Blizzard, instead of creating some shit maps and throwing some stupid polls about a zealot at their site, listen to their fans who acually PLAY the game?! I'm really disappointed in Blizzard's recent choices and I wonder if they have the slightest idea what they're doing and what a good map should look like. It's THEIR maps that are imbalanced, not the one of GSL and other really good map creators so why not accept their maps?! | ||

Removing close positions would be a crutch, and it would probably boost zerg win rates even further. The map is popular but I can fully support Blizzard's reasoning for removing it. | ||

To be removed from current map pool : - Metalopolis (official) - Scrap Station (official) - Delta Quadrant (not official, but they made even jokes about it in the fake patch notes for April 1st) - Slag Pits (not official, but removing Metalopolis for close position and balance issue without removing Slag Pits makes no sense) There are some issues if this become true : - Some of the current PTR maps are worst than Tal'darim and Metalopolis - Xel'Naga Caverns would be the only 2 slots 1v1 maps. Let's cross our fingers... edit: I miss-read, thanks for pointing this out. | ||

Metalopolis without close spawns is one of the best maps we have. It's used in just about every tournament I can think of, it's loved by everyone, I have never heard anyone complain about it being unbalanced and it's got a long history of providing us with incredible, incredible games. Why on earth would they remove it? Too predictable? What the fuck does that mean Blizzard? Seriously does anyone have a problem with tournament modified Metalopolis? | ||

The map is old, boring and played to hell and back, however people fear what it might be replaced with. I simply don't believe that Blizzard can make a good map anymore. Oh and of course it was imbalanced when zerg had 33% chance to get an autoloss vs competent people and PvT was basically 2gate colossus into hidden expansion most of the time for me, because 3 rax was given. | ||
