Is it just me having bad luck with my opponents or did the amount of cheese increase drastically since the ladder lock was announced?
I usually hardly ever encountered cheese on the EU ladder... maybe 1 game out of 10. But today in the 6 matches I played I was cheesed/all-inned 5 times.
So what are your experiences so far?
(oh yeah, league wise I'm currently in platinum, playing high plat and diamond players)

Why would people cheese more during ladder lock? Im getting cheesed / allinned 50% of the games but thats pretty standard.

People want some fast wins to either make their end of season rank look good or score a last minute promotion. Macro games aren't very effective at massing fast wins so I'd guess a well performed all in / cheese must win more than 50% of their games.

Maybe they're trying to spam as many games as possible to get their bonus pool down, since the season ends soon. That's the only reason I could come up with so far.
Other reason could be they want to get a quick promotion before the ladder lock goes to effect preventing all demotion/promotion.

Haven't had an unusual amount of cheese. Rarely getting it these days. I do get all-ins but only from other zergs, which is pretty standard anyway. I'm high master Merth.402

Unlikely. It's just your personal experience, it's hard to compare and say yes or agree. You could be getting cheesed more than usual because of the time of day, the specific players style or the maps.
Another person could be getting cheesed a lot less than you, but feel the frequency has increased when it's still within the norms + their own factors.

Yeah hope tomorrow looks different again.
I still managed to get out with a 4:2 today though. So I don't mind the all-ins too much, but they're not very fun games.

i have noticed a few more allins today, im quite happy for it because if the cheeser isnt terran(they have some sick timings on 1base T_T) i just hold and have a quick win i went from just below 50% to around 51% winrate today (i have a lot of games played so thats actually significant :D)

7 of my last 10 games on the gold ladder have been either cheese or a one base all-in. I'm going to 1v1 ladder in a few minutes, but I don't expect the ratio to be any lower. I'm ok with it. I'll lose to some and cream the rest!

This is why I hate the bonus pool. It shouldn't accumulate so quickly that players feel they need to cheese in order to have any hope of using it up.

If your worried about it either play safe and standard or don't ladder and avoid it altogether. Most cheese is quite easy to beat so not sure what your so worried about.

I felt an update was appropriate:
In the last 10 ladder games (played in the last 24 hours): 5 zvz, 3 zvp, 2 zvt
Cheese = 0
Compared to the last 10 games (7/10 cheese) this is quite a turnaround! I guess it all comes down to the luck of the match finder!
Still, of the 10 recent games, only 3 of my opponents took an expansion while the rest opted for one base strategies, some more crazy than others. Nothing terribly unreasonable except the terran who made more hellions than marines.
All my zvp's were against void ray strategies. The zvt's followed the trend of "early rush into banshee harass". All of the zvz's were banelings into mutas. None of this is "standard" in the sense that I don't see pros using any of these strategies, but it's a far cry from every game being cheese.
Note: I'm playing people at the upper tier of gold or mid platinum, so I am indeed playing people who are close to changing leagues.
