Hundreds of keys to give away. If you are looking for people to play with you go to channel wcr on the actual game itself, usually people in there.

This game is a dota remake with new interface, graphics, controls, etc. It is a copy, so don't be expecting a different gameplay experience from dota.

So who made this? i heard there are 2 different games coming out like dota, and ones is from the creators (or who ever is currently running it( or was) pandemic?

Oops I misunderstood. Went to wcr and posted for a key.

Also, is the website just that one page? I didnt see any clickable links to the game, just the publisher or other games.

Ive been playing this a few days now and its a good fun messaround if you have a bit of time to spare. Lots of new people around as well to learn with, if we get a few people in may aswell hang out in a channel and play some games together! Any questions post em here and ill try and answer.

edit: Easy to learn too, considering you only control one guy.

Also, if someone comes whining to you about balance then treat it as given that things will get looked into and they are just sore.

This is made by S2 games. They made the fps/rts hybrid games Savage and Savage 2 before HoN. Savage was a great and very innovative game, but didn't sell many copies.

League of legends is made by a couple of the original DoTA developers. Most people who have played HoN prefer it to LoL.

I blame savage's few sales on bad marketing. They give you a trial version but I was having trouble finding games even in the afternoon, so I decided not to purchase it. I also found it randomly through a youtube "related videos" I believe. With this they have the chance of capturing a ton of DotA players.

LoL isn't out yet as far as I know, still in beta.
When it does come out it's going to be free so that should help it out. It will have extra paid content for things like new skins, but no game changing things for real money.

S2 are an amazing group of developers, shitty marketers =P

I am playing HoN and it is an amazing game. Probably helps I already had friends ready to play with going into it and the netcode is amazing. Their engine is going to allow for more intuitive maps. They already said they are working on a 2 lane 3v3 type map.

I disagree. I played the original Savage and it was great. However, S2Games really went downhill with Savage 2. They're really slow at developing and rush their releases. The development is "slow" because even though they patch quickly, the patches are really bad. The biggest problem is that the head dev, S2Maliken, overpatches so that even after the game is great, he ruins it by changing the combat system entirely.

Anyway, I haven't played this game yet. You can expect that even if you really like it, the game may change entirely with some later patch and ruin it for you.

I have heard a lot of horror stories about the S2Maliken guy. He apparently goes into savage/savage2 servers giving himself the best units and shit and then throws fits when he gets killed.

They are also adding a hero called Maliken next patch, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken as hell or something
