SEA vs the World
www.sc2sea.com
Sponsored by Eddie and sc2sea.com

The time has come, where every 3rd month, we invite players from all around the globe to come to our server and play with the best SEA has to offer. We hope this brings greater exposure to the SEA scene, and gives some of our players opportunities not always available to them. We are confident many of our players can compete against the worlds best, and as a result we'll have plenty of high quality games for the spectators to enjoy.

The Masters Cup is a single elimination style tournament. $100 prize on offer to the winner, $50 2nd prize, $30 3rd. Plus $50 to the highest placed SEA player. $240 prize pool total*! There is also a lucky draw prize! One lucky person shall get $10 just for joining! This event is sponsored by Eddie and sc2sea.com

Sponsors and donations for this event are welcomed, if you'd like to help out, please pm me. Masters Cup usually gets around 6000+ viewers, and 100-150 of the highest quality players in the SEA region. Our last Cup had 13000 viewers!

$10 free prize just for playing + Show Spoiler +

$10 just for joining this Masters Cup!!

One lucky participant shall receive $10! While not a massive prize, its a free pizza, or a couple beers, etc, just for playing some sc2! Even if you are eliminated early be sure to stick around, watch the high quality games, and listen out for who will win (It may well be you!). Purpose of this is to encourage player participation, and offer a small reward for those who fail to place, as every game is of a high level. Depending upon future donations/sponsorship this may continue or be replaced by some other sort of prize, eg hardware. It shall be trialed this Masters Cup, as always, feedback welcomed. The prize draw shall be done live on stream using http://www.random.org/. If the number generated, matches your randomly seeded number on challonge.com, you're the winner! (Except if you no showed and got walked over in the early rounds, then we'll redraw, as it is designed to reward participants)

Indeed!

Some of the big SEA names to join so far: Moonglade, TtPiG, xGKingiaguz, xGKingmafia, FlashRevz, RedArchon, tarossi + many more.

We've had some Koreans including ST.KingKong + ST.Tiger join up too.

Looking like a good tournament.

It probably is a bit tricky/expensive for most people to get a SEA account i guess.

For the next open Masters Cup we'll probably hold it on NA instead!

For this one however we have a couple of spare SEA accounts. Any top 100 EU/NA GM is welcome to use them. Message me here if interested or Eddie at sc2sea.com

Go SEA!

I believe next time we will try to run it on NA so more NA pros have the chance to play in it. It doesn't matter much for SEA since anyone with a SEA account has access to NA too.

I believe CoLgoswer was the only NA pro that played today but he lost to ST_Kingkong.

Update: Grats mOOnGLaDe back to back victories
