I didn't see a thread for this and I think it deserves one.
Terran player Aphrodite, the winner of the ZOWIE DIVINA female invitational and girlfriend of StarTale_Rainbow has officially joined team StarTale.
Aphrodite defeated flo 2-0 in the finals with solid mech play to take the first place prize of $5000, as well as a golden ZOWIE MiCO mouse.
Source with confirmation given by Antoine here.
---
So this makes Aphrodite the second female to join a Korean pro-gaming team. Remember this is different to SlayerS recruitment of Eve however - Aphrodite had already proven herself to be a good player before she got the invitation to join StarTale.
Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing how Aphrodite improves with players like Curious, Bomber and July to practice with.
Congratulations to Aphrodite!

As much as I hated the tournament, I think it's really awesome that pro teams are picking up female players. Hopefully this will increase the viablity of sc2 as an e-sport!

Congrats!,

Woo! If only oGs could pick up ToSsGirL...

Would it be chauvinistic to start comparing how SC2 player's girlfriends/wives look right about now?
Yes. Yes it would.
So I'll just say that she looks hot.

Has she attempted to qualify for Code A before?
|
Congratulations to her!
Hopefully she gets some playing time on air!

Really cool, gl to her. Hope she will start playing "seriously".
(that makes me wonder: why wasn't eve invited to the tournament btw?)

That photo in OP looks scary. She looks better on the Rainbow stream.

(that makes me wonder: why wasn't eve invited to the tournament btw?) She was doing promo work for a razor event?
Hopefully she is the second in a long line of female progamers, so that we can create a scene where I don't have to preface progamer with "female".
