Due to all the flak I have been receiving I figured it was about time for an official apology and statement regarding the NASL
The reason I haven't been able to attend my last few NASL matches is due to scheduling issues. The first match I had to forfeit I was doing a video shoot with MLG in New York I could not postpone the match. Then I started my job at IGN and my matches always happen during the week during work hours. I actually did manage to play a few from work but that wasn't going to continue. I'm working 9-5 and I can't just take time off work during the day to play my matches, as much as I would like to. I tried to reschedule these matches. Don't really know what I was supposed to do about that.
Discussing the issue briefly with InControl before my boxer match I was under the impression it would relay to the rest of the NASL staff/Xeris. That was a huge mistake on my part. I should have sent an official statement regarding the last match I just assumed that NASL would continue not to let me reschedule the matches and I knew that I would not be able to change my work schedule for SC2 matches.
I am definitely going to finish out the season and finish out my last match to the best of my ability. I'm sorry to the fans, people that feel they were more deserving of the spot, NASL, and most of all Boxer. Who I'm sending an apology to personally as well. Waking up early only to get a forfeit win really sucks. Please don't besmirch IGN or IPL because of this it really has nothing to do with them. I'm also sorry I haven't been playing to my ability lately this is definitely not the showing I wanted for NASL. I took an opportunity that conflicted with another and I alone am responsible for whats been going on.
Anyways again, I'm very sorry to the fans, NASL viewers, Boxer, Xeris. Anyone else that may have been affected by me not being able to play my matches during the week. My final match is actually on a Saturday so I will most definitely be playing out the season.

You know what they say about what happens when you assume...
That aside I think this apology is all that people are asking for and props for having the guts to do it.

Trust me, when it comes to scheduling, most everybody understands. Good luck man!
Thanks for that, I know a lot of people didn't understand why the games were not played and assumed that you just bailed. Good luck in the future!
good to see this thread. i definitely think you needed to post it.
Yeah I just got back from MLG a night ago and most everyone that was there was super sick myself included. Didn't even know all of this was going on until my friends linked me last night I was super busy prepping for my IGN work at MLG. I'm sorry it took this long.

Props I suppose for standing up and not hiding from your decision. Still don't think it's a wise image decision to have turned in the performance shown at NASL, but that's your own hill to climb, I suppose.
having a job is good for you painuser! keep it up man!
Thank you Painuser, I understand this wasn't easy and I think the people who flamed you without understanding the situation are idiots. Hope to see you back soon
So somebody with a normal job can't compete in NASL? That seems kinda silly.
PainUser is top class. Complete and total respect.
Thanks for clarifying Painuser. Really enjoying your interviews and other content you are putting out - keep it up
I still heart you Painuser.

Woah, I really needed to see this. Based on how you were being presented in the threads and such I had assumes you just ragequit the NASL, but this is much different. No worries now, do what you gotta do
