VT Gaming has recently added a couple of possibly controversial players to our roster in the past week. We've carefully considered how we want to build our team for the future and picked players that we feel can help us achieve that goal.
Ben " MrBitter" Nichol is surely a familiar face to many TeamLiquid regulars, becoming an internet superstar with his "12 Weeks With the Pros" show. An up and coming Zerg player, we feel that MrBitter has the dedication and potential to fulfill our long-term need for more Zerg players. After meeting him at MLG Dallas, we feel he is a great fit to the team atmosphere and can offer our team a valuable warm Zerg body to prepare with as he hones his skills in preparation for the top NA scene.
David "avilo" Blowe is a strong Terran player who has a lot of experience in high-level tournaments and ladder, often defeating known professional players. After some drama regarding him and a few TeamLiquid blog posts, Avilo has buckled down and found ways around his mental blocks of imbalance and become a very solid mech-style Terran player. After the departure of Scott "Swu" Wu due to personal issues, we felt Avilo was a good choice to bolster our lineup overall and add another unique style to our inhouse practice.
While these may both be controversial choices for one reason or another, VT Gaming firmly believes that these two players will succeed and grow in our organization.

How are these controversial choices? They seem fine to me o.o Best of luck to these two though, hope to see Bitter go far into professional SC2.

Interesting... How many fake votes did it take for Avilo to get in?
|
I am a big avilo and VT gaming fan! This is awesome!

Interesting additions, as VT needed another Zerg player, and picking up MrBitter is a good option compared to the amount of NA Zergs that are teamless.
Hopefully they will do well in upcoming leagues and MLG Columbus.

Swu's personal reasons surfacing here again? Hmmm.

OHHH FUCK! Avilo is never going to lose a DC LAN ever again. Congrats man

VT doesn't yet have the pedigree of a team like ROOT, so picking a contributing member of the community and a strong (albeit really really really goddamn boring) player are hardly controversial choices. Great pick-ups imo!

Mr.B totoally deserves it man GL to him he will work hard for sure

Awesome! more zergs for me to beat up on :DD
I like these additions. Avilo should do well in CWs.

Nice to see MrBitter doing well for himself getting on a good team.

Doesn't VT have like 25 players right now? If you keep adding on, you need to cut the fat somewhere. VT is a team, not a day care.

They have 7-8 I think. People either leave for better teams or simply aren't that active.

Kinda my thoughts. They're not really controversial as anything that surrounds them is just rumor, gossip or drama. Nothing related to their gaming career or standpoint in terms of ranking. Not sure who would say Mr. Bitter doesn't deserve a team either.

Wow, I retract my statement lol
