Of course it should be up to the people in the lobby what they want to play, but I feel like a lot of people take the drafting a bit too seriously. There's people of so widely different skill levels in these games that it almost doesn't matter what heroes you pick. The most skilled/experienced team will probably win no matter what, so you might as well pick some fun heroes. just ask if anyone else wants to run something different. ive played other modes before. like a rd match yesterday, was a one sided stomp since one team got all top tier heros but still, just talk to people. there is no "ALWAYS CM" rule or anything.

The point of inhouses (or pickups or gathers in other games), and certainly this sort of inhouses where the collection of people is at best loosely connected and the vast majority don't know eachother, is to be a kind of middle-ground between a pub and a scrim, or for some a potential stepping stone into more serious forms of play. I see absolutely no point whatsoever in playing inhouses composed of random people in a pubgame format, when RD and SD are available in greater convenience in public matchmaking already. Additionally, CM games in public matchmaking, especially if you are soloqueueing which most people who would play inhouses are trying to avoid, are of completely unacceptable state (in my personal experience). I also question you making this sort of harsh lash-out reaction to CM mode being for tryhard elitists, but you yourself excluding All Pick from your list. Could it be that the same reasons you have for discarding AP apply for other people regarding RD and SD? Perhaps instead of the people wanting to enjoy games unlike what the readily available public matchmaking offers leaving for EG, it should be you that ought to go press that find match button instead of bringing pub to inhouses.

Nyter just left a pretty equal game after dying few times after getting fed at early game, on top of that played ih with premade of 4, which is kinda sad, whole premade trashtalked in chat. Guy named "sexy black whole", didnt leave but was flaming team and muting everyone from min 1, dunno if thats allowed ;D EDIT: these are showing names, cant say steam profile, so dont think it will help too much ;/ EDIT2:Nyter just died and ragequitted 2nd game in a row, 18 mins mark.

You might be in a delusional state that drafting means you are the soul of your current team and therefor you calling a gg means the game is over, but its not. Unless you get all 5 people to "call" gg, you can leave, until then give ur 101% to the game. If you call a gg and quit its just rage quitting, we are not pro team in pro tournament, we have not played together and for sure we dont understand each other in the way pro teams do, so you claiming that calling a gg is something which settles everything is truly false.
