Everything worked yesterday fine, I put computer in sleep mode and woke up and it gave the yellow exclamation mark. Couldn't connect to anything so I took router off and now I have this problem (iirc I should be able to connect to internet without a router, used to do that long time ago.) So currently I'm using cable straight to internet. I'm on windows7 if it matters.
Only tl and youtube seem to work, and very random websites. Steam, discord etc not working either.
tried flllushdns, with router and without, reset pc and modem
feels helpless
e: i have newest driver. Apparently my ipv4 connectivity: no internet connection. Is that important? I have Ipv6 connection though.

Do websites just timeout and not load? Try this: go to start menu -> type cmd then enter, this should open command prompt -> type: ping -t google.com
That will send a little bit of data to google to see how quickly your internet is sending and receiving data. Anything under 90ms is quick I guess. I chose google typically because it has the quickest response time of any website and 100% uptime. You can type: ping -t whateverwebsiteyouwant.com to see how data is being sent to the websites you can’t connect to and see which error you get. It seems strange that only a few sites work tho

I've had the same thing happen to me. Only Google and YouTube worked for me (when clicking on google links, it would say no connection) For me simple turning on and off worked though.

Check your DNS. In command prompt type nslookup websitethatdoesntwork.com and see if it actually resolves to an IP address. If it doesn't resolve, change your DNS to google DNS or open DNS (instructions google-able)
