Sometimes it ¨perma-farts¨ and i have to shut it down manually to reboot.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing the problem? Just off the top of your head that is,, info about my rig is,,, troublesome to type in.

Just checking all the regular things ![]() O and also is it your tower making the noise? or is it coming through your ear phones or whatever you have. And as the guy said above no harm in opening it up and making sure everything is placed and to make sure there is no actual dust.

hm,, could it be an issue with the power suply and my hard drives? i see that i have three hard drives connected to the power-supply through only one branched wire ? could this cause some power-issues with the hard drives when they are working?

I kinda feel that the problem might be the wire i mentioned earlier,, could be that there is too much power for only one wire to channel.. Maybe they can't work all at the same time while getting power through the same wire? I'm no professor though,, so this might not be plausible at all,,

Why post on the forums if you aren't providing specs? You might as well diagnose this problem on your own (which you are doing anyways).

If you think your 12v rail isn't strong enough than replace the power supply or get rid of components. the power supply is _ Corsair HX 750W hmm,, is there some quick way to extract other specs? hm,, CPU - Intel Quad Q 9650 3.00GHz with a Black Knight fan cooler RAM - 8 GB,, hm , Dominator GT i think they're called ,, with a double cooler on top GPU - ATI Radeon HD 5700 1GB OS - Windows 7 64 Bit MB - ASUS P5Q Deluxe if anything else is needed,, let me know,, haven't done this before =) Is there some way to test how much power i need from the power supply?

You should try disabling power-saving features in the BIOS (C1E, Speedstep, EIST, and consult your manual for any other powersaving features). Run memtest86+ for at least four passes to see if it is a problem with your RAM. Check the SMART values for your HDDs using CrystalDisk or HD Tune.

They are the only hardware that can come to making such noise. download hdtune, install, run and see what it says under health and do a error scan. you can also download memtest and check the ram http://hcidesign.com/memtest/ and you can also test your GPU, CPU and PSU all in one with furmark. download CPU-z, GPU-z and HWmonitor to monitor your voltages, temps, clocks, etc... oh and check your event viewer for any errors

Going to try remove and reinstall the ATI drivers now. The sound does come from the speakers,, And the issue started after having reformated which means i also downloaded and installed ATI drivers again,, i'll check back after i've tried removing and downloading the newest.. Also,, it's not that i'm not familiar around computers,, it's mostly the troubleshooting part,, i've never really had any trouble other than very simple stuff like GPU's frying and HDD's dying. ![]()
