The first round of Super Tournament II produced a slew of one-sided results, as most of the favorites advanced without incident.
The big surprises in the round-of-16 weren't so much in the final results as they were into the series scores. After Bunny's narrow 3-4 loss to herO at DreamHack Atlanta, it wouldn't have been surprising to see the surging Terran get his revenge in the tournament. However, few would have expected him to prevail in a landslide, 3-0 sweep. Similarly, the match between recent Code S finalist RagnaroK and RO6 finisher Cure appeared to be close on paper, but Cure took an unexpectedly one-sided 3-0 victory.
The Super Tournament will resume with the round-of-eight on Monday, Dec 05 8:00am GMT (GMT+00:00). The semifinals and grand finals will be played on Thursday, Dec 08 8:00am GMT (GMT+00:00).
