Creator began his initial series against

The other initial match between RagnaroK and

RagnaroK then went on to 2-1 Creator in the winners' match to advance to the RO10 in first place from the group. Game one went Creator's way, as his 6-Gate Glaive-Adepts inflicted enough early damage for him to win with second attack later on. However, Creator's attempt at a 2-base Blink-Stalker all-in in game two completely fell apart, as he was severly delayed by a Speedling poke from RagnaroK. After a very solid defensive stand, RagnaroK collected the GG. Creator went for another form of early aggression in game three, loading up for an Immortal-Zealot all-in. However, another early Zergling poke from RagnaroK gave him enough information to detect the build, and he countered it with Banelings for the 2-1 victory.
Alas, Ryung had the poor luck of playing his weak match-up of TvZ twice in a day, and he left the group without a victory. His first loss to soO in the losers' match was fairly straight forward, with soO rolling over him with Muta-Ling-Bane. Ryung had a chance to steal a map with a 4-Barracks proxy all-in in game two, but he ended up losing after giving soO a little too much time.
That earned soO a chance to rematch Creator for a RO10 spot, but again he couldn't get past the Season 1 runner-up. Game one saw Creator play an Oracle opener into a hasty Gateway unit timing at around the 7:00 mark, which was enough to overwhelm an underprepared soO. Creator then took game two in more mundane fashion, assembling a mid-game force with Archon-Immortal support to force another surrender out of soO.
