The wave of upsets from DHM: Last Chance washed over into the Super Tournament as well, as with RO16 concluded with a number of surprises.

Cure going 0-3 versus Zoun. The DPG Terran had looked utterly dominant in TvP for several months, but Zoun proved to be superior in the new year. Zoun got to show off the breadth of his skills, winning with mostly straight up macro in game one, a Phoenix + Glaive Adept timing in game two, and a proxy 2-Gate all-in in game three.Trap saw his slump continued as he ate a 0-3 loss at the hands of the rising herO. Trap focused on aggressive tactics that some may have expected from herO, going for a 1-base Blink all-in in game one and building a proxy-Gateway inside herO's main in game two. However, herO's defense proved to be more than capable of handling the attacks. The final game on Blackburn saw herO get away with taking a gold base while Trap took the safer 'normal' expansion, which led to herO winning with superior Stalker numbers in the early/mid-game.Depending on your point of view,
