I don't really have a sense of how strong these advantages are, but I will say that in the last season of ASL, it seems like revealing his builds really hurt Mini when he went on to play against Larva. Possibly. Parting and Trap are such different players that playing vs one might not reveal much to the other, just because they would tend to wind up in very different situations in games. But I am not a pro, so I could be totally wrong about that.

No, unlike weekend tournaments, GSL gives the players more time to prep before the finals. They have days to come up with builds and practice them before the Finals. This is unlike a weekend tournament like the ESL, whereby you have to play the Semis and then immediately the Finals, leaving the players with no time to prep. This is one of the reasons why GSL is so hard to predict and win. The top 4 for each season have changed so much over the past few years, unlike the ESL where Reynor/Clem/Serral will always be there.

To me, its more like the format of GSL allow for more suprise and early elimination. DH EU allow 4 players/group to advance and there is also the double-elimination in the playoff, so its very rare to see a top player drop out like Serral did recently. Imagine GSL adopt the same format, get ride of code A and when straight with 6 player/group and 3 players advance per group, I am pretty sure we will see a more "stable" result.

Actually yeah I want Dark to win, Dark vs Trap would be a good finals. Parting vs Trap could be good too, I don't mind PvP and it's quite good after the addition of Overcharge, but Dark is so versatile with Zerg and uses unique strategies/unit comps, and Trap is also very versatile and rounded with Protoss, it could be really cool to watch. Also both Trap and Dark need more GSL championship titles for how good they are!
