Perhaps PartinG wasn't up for a paycut or DPG wanted to go in another direction. I know the team owner was in PartinG's twitch chat like 2-3days ago and they were super friendly and chill with each other. Also perhaps PartinG wanting to play online tournaments/stream only had a big impact on if DPG wanted to resign him.

He's not doing too well in CS:GO right now... Team is really under-performing.

The post you were referring to also said something about Parting's health issues and DPG's strict practice disciplines. I guess Parting was simply not able to finish the required amount of practice everyday. It's no surprise DPG isn't renewing the contract since Parting hasn't been in a good form for quite a long time. Probably he decided to focus more on streaming (which, according to rumor, made a lot more money than his salary from DPG) instead of being a normal progamer. According to another rumor (in Chinese, consider it true because one of DPG's owners KTFlash的教徒 replied to the post), Dark's salary before the pay cut was as high as Innovation and Solar's salary combined. I guess the pay cut was only returning Dark's salary to a normal level.

Since COVID is locking everything down, you see foreigners leaving the chinese teams. Scarlett left her team recently for the same reason.

Chinese Team League was played 100% Online in the last 2 seasons - on the Korean Server. Scarlett left BSG, because she had to leave Korea and go back to Canada. Chinese Team League is built for Chinese and Korean players. There are probably multiple reasons, why he left, as many people in this thread pointed out allready. This isn t one of them though.

![]() As for the reasons behind DPG's decision, I personally think they wanted to keep the two Chinese players at all costs (EnChant and Firefly), and then 2 out of the remaining 3 Korean players. Dark and Cure have definitely outperformed PartinG this year, so maybe it was just simple mathematics?
