As far as i know 12 pool only counters the proxy robo, if you can block the pylons with drones. Otherwise you can wall in before lings arive. Then the Zerg is in big trouble. Or am I wrong? you can always wall before the lings arrive. if it's scouted the desired scenario of early pool is to face a gate-nexus-core build with a late scout and force a massive probe defense. so you want to delay mining, kills buildings in the wall, or just win outright by destroying pylons you would never really do that build at pro level if you thought your opponent would expect it

Hope Parting has some curve balls or it might be 1 sided.

Also Parting seems to be pushing himself really hard, while TY already has a backup job secured.

Heart: TY 4-1 PartinG TY has a ridiculous number of builds, prepares extremely well, and has a nearly unreadable playstyle, but it feels like a huge fraction of his losses come from opponents being more rather than less aggressive than he expects. PartinG will almost certainly always play more aggressively than any other P on the planet, so I see a lot of ways in which TY gets caught. His multitask is also often sloppy and his control suffers a bit when he's taxed (compared to e.g. Maru or Cure). Of course, in my perfect world, TY continually lands damage on PartinG before he can get his blink play together. Or he pulls out some vintage sensor tower defense (lol). But I'm worried for my caster boy

Yep I am thinking the same. As a Hardcore Terran fan, I even prefer a TvP finals rather than a TvT one(forgive my treachery) Either way this will be interesting.

For game 6, relied on a timing attack and left half his army there sitting idle when the timing attack required all units to attack at the same time. Also in game 6, this gif shows that PartinG A-moved his army into a bunch of sieged tanks and he wasn't even looking at his army when it moved in (this was missed in the Tastosis cast of the game): https://old.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/gri57j/what_actually_happened_during_ty_vs_parting_game/

one could argue Code S hasn't had a consensus "cheesy" champion in years I might be getting old, but I can still remember Byun winning a GSL ..unless the "consensus" is that reaper abuse is the hallmark of a macro god

Granted I don't think ByuN was cheesier than Maru in his wins.
