He just doesn't need to play in them really, and also maybe feels like other players need the money more than him? Given that online events are the primary source of income for a lot of players.
I wish Maru played in more tournaments - Page 2

Would you rather work 70 hours per week and earn $200K a year, OR work 100 hours per week and earn $250K a year? Maru gets diminishing returns in terms of prize money and prestige by playing in smaller online tournaments, and he might also want to take that extra time to relax and live his life. After all, this is effectively a full-time job (and more since most are working 40+ hours) for most progamers.

Operation Bagration from WW2? If so that's a real cool ID. I had to look up separately what the operation is named after, but I'd say that it was way more famous than the obscure general it was named after.

think about it this way, would you rather spend your time and efforts catching anchovies or invest that time into catching a whale, if your as good as maru and for his accomplishment, hed rather invest that time and effort into catching a whale instead of an anchovie. its really that simple? you have to keep in mind that it is nice to see him play, but you have to deal with the fact that he is entitled to choose whichever tournaments he wants, or he might be restricted by certain conditions from jin air green wings as well.

Most of WWII's Eastern Front activity is overlooked in the west, especially the USA (other than Barbarossa and Stalingrad). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Bagration Operation Bagration is criminally underrated - with nearly 800K Germany casualties, the operation effectively destroyed Germany's Army Group Centre, and was one of the most decisive victories won by the Soviets. Not to mention that it happened around the same time as D-Day / the invasion of France. 1944 was definitely a very bad summer for the Nazis :p
