Shopify TSL 5 powered by DreamHack Community Caster Applications
In these great times where the TSL returns we want to capture what makes SC2 great - the community spirit for our qualifiers. As such we will now start accepting applications to become a StarCraft II Community Caster for Shopify TSL 5 Powered by DreamHack qualifiers. Get the unique chance to join us as we go through our bracket and qualify twenty players to be a chance at glory and $30,000.
These qualifiers will be online tournaments, where players will fight for a coveted spot in our main event beginning in May. See below for instructions on how to apply. If you’ve done this in the past for a WCS event, we will be following a similar process and procedure. The goal here is inclusivity, we want everyone to have a chance to cast fun games.
HOW TO APPLY
Send in your application to sc2@dreamhack.se with “Community Caster TSL5” in the subject line. Please include full contact information (name, Discord, email, Twitch channel, language) and anything else you think might help you stand out! Please note that all successful applicants must broadcast on the Twitch platform, from their own channel and that all streams broadcasting the tournament will need to comply with the Blizzard advertising and sponsorship policy:
Gambling, including raffles and fantasy sports betting, cannot be associated with the competition in any manner. The competition cannot be sponsored by any companies that sell or promote any of the following products:
- Pornography (or extremely mature materials);
- Alcohol;
- Tobacco or cigarettes;
- Firearms;
- Gambling websites or hacking, gold services, account selling, key sellers
The application process will close April 24th for the first weekend, though we will accept those for later dates. Come join us! Spots may be limited depending on interest.

Are the community casters allowed to consume alcohol / swear / behave in ways not commonly considered approperiate when streaming the event? I am interested in answer to any and all of these.

I wish I had the time to do this. What a cool opportunity. I hope others with big passion will be brave enough to apply.

With all the TSL5 threads popping up, I still haven't found any news on who will be the designated talent for this?

Applied. Would be super fun to do casting again.

I'm all for you having fun how you want but don't go overboard, so maybe a no if you want to promote your brand of StarCraft Themed Beer Bongs or something.
