Calling all StarCraft Players!
WCG is back! It’s been 6 years since our last tournament. This year StarCraft franchise has joined us once again and we wanted to do something special! This year we are having an invitational tournament with 4 pro players.
- Neeb
- Maru
- Reynor
- Cyan
On top of that we will be holding event tournament with the fans!
If you wish to play a tournament with one of these players, head over to the link below and register. Four lucky players will be chosen and invited Xi’an China to compete with the best of the world! (flight/hotel will be provided by WCG)
We hope to see at WCG 2019 Xi’an Grand Final!
EDIT: Please note that there will be 2 different tournaments scheduled for StarCraft II at WCG 2019 Xi'an
- Pro only tournament (4 players)

Well this seems extremely silly, I'll probably watch it though 
As a marketing stunt it should work well enough (a top player from each of KR, EU, NA, China).
Hope WCG returns for real and does a proper Starcraft tournament next time!

Wow that ancient picture of Neeb when he was still with Fnatic XD
This should be hilarious and I am VERY surprised they are budgeting 4 flights for fans to compete. Surely they are not just going to randomly choose a low-league player to fly all the way to China for this event that will likely have very little attention outside of China.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, this is only an event match before the actual tournament, in which only the pros will play for the prize money

The fans will probably have to be Chinese fans just because of the visa situation. There aren't many countries that have visa-free entry agreements with China.
