Dark always does this to himself. It is getting hilarious. He picks someone and that person makes an awful group. And what happened to the Patience, who always helped Maru make an easier group?

This season is pretty open. A lot of hard hitters fell in the round of 32. I think Special will go through, I also think Parting will go through, Gumi should stomp and Inno should roll well. That said, this seasons has been hella unpredictable!

It's a shame that Classic didn't use his swap powers to swap Patience with Gumiho, herO, or Trap. Could've made group D even more insane.

I love the group balance, PvZvPvT, but WHAT WAS PATIENCE THINKING PICKING INNOVATION 9th!? I watched the group nom and Dark talked some serious trash at Patience, but did that smug face cause Patience to seek revenge? With FanTaSy (T), Impact (Z), Dear (terrible vP), and Hurricane (even worse vP) available, is his Ro32 result (4-1 vs Maru+Inno) overriding the general notion of who is the best? Is Dark such a jerk that you will fall on your own sword to put TvZ monster Inno in the group?

Sucks that Classic got the swap. With Maru eliminated I was looking forward to a ro16 without one shitty group.

Oh, Isee, didn't know that. However I think the selection still would've gone differently if the other players didn't have to fear having the weakest player swapped out of their group if they picked him, no?

Classic was happy about his group for the first time ever. The swap wasn't even a thing that he could use to make it better.
Dark, on the other hand, got the short end of the stick again. He said that he didn't want a tough group this time. He then proceeded to choose the player that beat Maru and INno to grab the 1st place spot in his Ro32 group.

Patience happened. When there were still many players to pick, he just went and picked Innovation. However i believe had he picked an easier opponent, Classic would have screwed this group with a switch anyway.

But the last 10 GSL he has lost 7 time in the RO16 and 3 in the RO4, so it is still the same story

I don't see how Group D would end up with Innovation had Patience picked someone else.
Classic would switch anyone in his group to bring Fantasy or Hurricane in, so choosing Impact or Dear would be safe from a swap.
Ragnarok is unlikely going to pick Inno given his TvZ, so even Patience picking Fantasy or Hurricane into D means Hero or maybe Soo is likely to return in a swap.

If P picks Fantasy, Hurricane is still #3 in A and would likely choose Hero (weak vP) or Soo (Hurricane is strongest vs Z) who would then return in the Swap. Given Stats, Soo, Inno, and Hero, I think you take your chances with Hero.

In a 4D Chess move, I wonder if Patience drafted the strongest player possible thinking he was the player Classic most wanted to swap into Group A (because everyone picks on him in past group nominations), and then it backfired spectacularly.
Patience:"No, wait!, I am way worse than Hurricane! Swap me! Remember how Maru used to always beat me?"
Classic:"Nope, you beat Maru just now, I couldn't, enjoy a group with the two other players who beat Maru recently+Dark."

i think it's just that patience wanted a terran (he did take out both maru and inno in his group)
but he knew full well that classic would snatch fantasy should he take him.

Classic said in an interview he is seeking revenge on those who made his groups hard in the past. He specifically said Patience and Dark.
