I don't like Nerchio especially but his insight on this issue - I agree with him. What Nerchio says is true and wise, what you are instead doing is not reading my whole statement. You missed "I'm sad to see it go", it's not like this is binary and I should be destroyed like someone died(or be stupidly happy for unknown reasons); if it was up to me, Go4Sc2 would have run until the end of Sc2.

If a player is consistently competitive on ladder, they can then be competitive in tournies like that, then they have WCS to have a shot at if they're competitive in online tournaments. I'm not a progamer myself and I can't really comment with any insight, Europe has had more depth in its scene than NA for most if not all of SC2, and don't think that's entirely coincidental with how many online tournaments with good players there have been ever since the early days of SC2.

But who cares, something better will come along made by people who actually care about the game. Not by people who ONLY care about sponsors and money.

Come on they ran like 4 tournament a week for 9 years, that's way more than any other org. How about we don't shit of them?

There aren't that many "low profile" tournaments on the scene and they are necessary for health of any sport

My point was it is needed, I was going against the "it's not needed"... So, to rephrase that, it is needed, you're wrong about that.

Strictly needed=essential, I am quite sure even western up and comers will find another way(not to mention Sc2 as a whole). Thus sais, of course, it would have been much better if Go4Sc2 wasn't discontinued.
