I think players should be able to issue orders for low cooldown spells during the cooldown to preserve the way units get orders in bw.

Another feature that's really noob-friendly in BW is the scroll. Just move the mouse to the edge of the screen and it's done?! Dude, if you want real competition you need to put in the coordinates every time. You try doing that and microing at the same time. Not so easy, is it? That's right, that's because you're noob. Also, hotkeys always bothered me. And the space key function. Oh and the minimap! Actually, graphics are noob-friendly. A real RTS should have NO graphics. Trying to figure out what's going on just by the sounds is what can make SC2 truly great. Anything less than that and I will be really dissapointed with Blizzard. Whatever, it's not like they actually know what they're doing.. It's not like they do this for a living and I don't. Yeah.

So how is this likely to work? I think players should be able to issue orders for low cooldown spells during the cooldown to preserve the way units get orders in bw. I'm not sure if there will be any low cooldown spells for this to be an issue for.

Just say there are 2 high platforms too far apart to blink between. I would like to be able to issue the command to blink down then blink up to the other spot and move on to other things. Even if clicking blink, blink dont work that is fair enough. But imo a waypoint system (for example holding shift) should allow you to queue up a few blinks that will take place when possible. eg. Select Units, Click Blink, Click Location, Click Blink <bzzzt cant blink on cooldown> or Select Units, Click Blink, Click Location, HOLD SHIFT, Click Blink, RELEASE SHIFT

Also I really like the autocasting feature and I don't care how noob friendly it is. Basically I think that anything noob friendly also is a benefit for pro games since it gives more time to micro. And I don't think it will ever run the risk of becoming like warcraft so long as the pace of the game is high enough. However, I still prefer the current starcraft resource gathering since the high amount of gatherers adds a lot to the game in form of economy management and base defense. I do think they should be able to auto rally at resources though...

I know you can shift consume with the defiler because it has no manarequirement. I agree that you should be able to cue spells. Another point. In WC3 you can disengage autocast to make sure you have enough mana to cast on important units at the right time. So you can use and micro spells tactically.

A low cooldown ability is more like the ghosts lockdown where the same unit can use the same ability twice within a second or so. However waypointing abilities is a cool idea. Would be interesting if they implemented it.
