I don't think there needs to be much said. He is the most recent Starleague champion, and he won it in dominating fashion, plus his performances in SPL for his team have been incredible. You can almost always count on him to deliver a win. 2. Dark While this is really close, I gave #1 to Zest simply because his championship is more recent. Maybe after the cross finals I will make a switch. Another point is that Zest has impressed in two matchups, while Dark seems to rely mostly on his ZvP (Just in the last month he lost to Dream, Maru Bomber, Solar and Losira). And he lost to Zest last time they met. 3. Maru It's hard to argue with a 15-2 proleague record. And when he wins, he dominates.Maybe one could say that he hasn't done well in Indovidual leagues, but given that he was eliminated from the GSL by the champion himself, and from the SSL by Zergs, who were (as a race) beating everyone at the time, I think he deserves this. 4. TY Again, this is pretty hard to argue against. The GSL runner-up, he displayed amazing skills and tore through most of his opponents. The reason he is not #3 here is because he has a worse SPL record at 7-7, and he lost to all players listed above him. 5. Dear If he loses, Samsung loses. As simple as that. It hasn't yet happened differently. Although sometimes even if he wins they still lose. His GSL run was amazing, he went undefeated in series until he met Zest in the semifinals, which is kind of unfortunate, like Maru earlier. 6. herO[jOin] CJ is a one man team at the moment. It's called herO and the practice partners. He is literally carrying the whole team on his back. Let's hope ByuL can start performing better, or herO might crack. He did beat Dear twice in SPL, but Dear had a better individual league performance (not by much, but still) 7. Stats Stats is weird. Even though he did great in SSL and is doing fine in SPL I always seem to kind of "not care" about him. I don't really know why. But he performed well enough to be here and to make me notice him. He is the SSL runner-up after all. 8. soO soO is, with Dark, the saving grace for SKT this round. while his individual league runs were not really what we expect of him (losing to Patience for example) he performs when it matters to his team, and is a rock for SKT. I hope he gets better results in starleagues next season. 9. Cure Best TvZ in Korea atm? Probably. He beat soO and Solar like they were nothing. And then, murdered herO in a completely different matchup? Pretty damn impressive. Pitty he isn't fielded as much in Proleague. Could have been higher, I am sure. 10. Trap He's been pretty solid lately, except that loss to TaeJa.

The most in-form PvT potentially ever, best PvP by a good amount, and although his PvZ looked very weak in KFC it's unknown whether that's just online weirdness or not. Still #1 by far. 2. Maru Looked very strong in TvT, beating TY. Hasn't struggled with any protosses except Zest. Crushed Dark, and has generally looked very good in TvZ. Despite not being to any starleagues, Maru's still my pick for #2. 3. TY TvT is very good but TvZ and TvP look sketchier. Overall less consistency than Maru, plus the head-to-head loss in TY's best matchup. 4. Dark SSL was such a weird event that it's hard to rate very highly, but his PL results since have been quite good with a couple exceptions. Disappointment in GSL stops him from being higher. 5. Dear Very strong GSL run, on-and-off in Proleague when it comes to form but still largely good. I think clearly the 2nd best protoss right now. 6. Stats SSL is a very weird event but Stats still showed up at it, plus his PL consistency. 7. Cure Amazing TvZ, plus decent TvP and TvT. Hard to rate, but he has less obvious flaws and more obvious strengths than I think people give him credit for. 8. soO Solid in GSL, solid in Proleague. Generally a mid-level player without many glaring flaws but without many big victories over huge players either. 9. herO I just feel as though herO's play has been particularly uninspired, especially against Cure. He's only really on here because of his PL performance (especially vs Dear) as his GSL was quite weak. 10. Ryung Holy shit Ryung's actually done really well in Proleague what the hell is it 2012 again Honorable Mentions : Dream, Trap, Solar, Classic, sOs, Rogue

2. Maru - still manhandling people with his trademark Maru skill. Awesome airmech TvZ style. Still innovating despite his dislike of building missile turrets. 3. TY - Demigod in the making, just keeps getting better and better. Starting to really bring confidence into his proleague matches. 4. Stats - underrated player, extremely consistent even when fielded regularly against the best players. Extremely well rounded, but lacks that star quality and killer instinct. PvP powerhouse. 5. Dear - Carrying Samsung, very clean and smart PvZ. Top 3 PvP. Really bringing that attention to detail that makes a champ back into his play. 6. herO - Carrying CJ, KSJ is his stomping grounds, starting to adapt his aggressive greedy style to LotV. PvP God. Still lacks confidence using the disruptor PvT. 7. INnoVation - TvZ machine, lacking the polish essential for his flawless macro style. 8. SoO - ZvZ machine, most reliable Zerg. Lacking that confidence and attacking flair at the moment, as shown in his PvZ vs. Zest on Lerilak where he could easily have won with a ling runby but wasn't paying attention. Needs some true attacking grit that can't be bought just by mixing a few sketchy all-ins into your play. 9. Dream - Still an amazing player who asn't quite found his LotV groove yet, particularly TvP, but we're seeing more of him. TvT beast. 10. ByuL - Strong zerg but inconsistent with moments of strength and weakness. Waiting for SK or KT to pick him up, imbue him with confidence and hone him into an unstoppable weapon. Honorable mentions: Dark - overrated, stylistic ZvP sniper who's had a good run showing potential and moments of brilliance. Loses games he shouldn't TvZ and ZvZ, not a well rounded player. Championship is most definitely a one time thing until he truely breaks out. Honestly if Soo absorbed Dark we might actually get a Zerg who could challenge for Top 3 in Life's absence.

I'll give it a shot even though I haven't followed SC2 that closely recently. 1. Zest probably 2. Dark 3. TY 4. Maru 5. Stats 6. Dear 7. Solar 8. soO 9. herO 10. Honestly if Soo absorbed Dark we might actually get a Zerg who could challenge for Top 3 in Life's absence. I hella disagree with this btw. He's currently on a 7 season Code S streak (tied w/ Solar fur longest active streak) so the whole "fluke" tag loses traction w/ me there. A year ago after he dominated Maru a few times they said he was a ZvT sniper and that ZvP was his kryptonite so I think it's funny that he's called a ZvP sniper now. He finished second in two Kespa cups and 3rd at the IEM WC which seems to indicate he's capable of winning championships or at least contesting them besides this "one time thing". Also if you look at aligulac he has winning records in all three matchups this year. By "loses games he shouldn't in ZvT and ZvZ" I guess you mean a couple of Bo1's in PL. He's lost to Maru (this shouldn't count against him btw), Bomber, and Reality in PL (I concede the losses to Reality/Bomber aren't great but they are Bo1's). He also lost to Dream in a Bo3 who is a monster in the matchup. That doesn't really scream bad ZvT to me tbh. In ZvZ he's only lost to Solar (Bo1 in PL and of course he beat Solar in a Bo7 in S2SL) and Losira (they traded series in GSL, Dark beating him 2-0 in the Ro32 and Losira beating him 2-1 in the Ro16). He's currently in the top 10 for wins in Proleague for the second straight year and he's been the most effective ace in PL this year (3-0). I could see not putting him top three for some reason but not top 10? Disrespect In short: don't sleep on my boy Dark

Obvious reasons. He's his own race in SC2 right now. 2. Maru Obvious reasons, sad for his slower start and bad luck in qualifications 3. Dark S2SL winner 4. TY He's good, like very good _____________ BIG GAP _____________ 5. Dear 6. herO 7. soO 8. Cure 9. Trap 10. sOs (I love him, you simply cannot have a list without sOs) 11.
