It seems a thread like this one wasn't posted before, after researching, so... I hope it wasn't posted before !
BIGGEST MISTAKES BY PROGAMERS IN SC2 HISTORY
The goal of this thread is to make a compilation of all the huge mistakes... those mistakes that changed an entire game, and all done by progamers. Yes, that kind of mistakes can happen to everyone, especially the greatest...
Macro errors, micro errors, miss-clicks... everything is accepted !
Enjoy !

Here's the one I remember ! I will sometimes add a few more to this first post, like the best...
Seriously... how is this possible? Building two bunkers at the WRONG side because he didn't see the hatch... really hilarous, especially Zerator's laugh!
MKP attempts to nuke drewbie's army. Drewbie dodged it. MKP didn't cancel it... and his entire army was on the red small point of the nuke at the wrong moment
Everyone knows what happened... MMA destroyed his own CC, thiking he was attacking the rock. He was really behind, but then, Idra does another big mistake... what about a ragequit ?
ForGG, considering that there were too many banelings, lifted off his army into his medivacs. He attempted to go to Stephano's main, but mines decided to shot at this moment. If ForGG went back instead of going in that direction, he wouldn't have lost that much I think...
The end of a base race against those two korean players. Rain has enough to build another pylon and has safe probes... but it seems probes were sleeping... or Rain himself???
He knew there was mutalisks waiting for him (viking scout) but he decided to go for a 3 medivacs drop and get completly intercepted... I repeat: HE KNEW THERE WAS MUTALISKS THERE
Jaedong attempting to bust First's third base. First micro'd pretty well with his stalkers when suddenly... make sure you know how to blink BACK, next time k?
There was something similar to this not long ago but it wasn't biggest goofs or mistakes, maybe something like "most memorable", except that can't have been it, because there were certainly a lot of things plenty of people hadn't seen. I'll have a look and link it if I find it, but I feel like these should just go in that thread if it's something like "most unusual/amazing/funny/cool games in SC2 history", because although you could still create another index, there may well be a lot of doubling up.
EDIT: OK so for one thing, on the first page of SC2 General, we have this which isn't so different in topic at least...
Wasn't there an MLG game where MarineKing nuked his own army and proceeded to lose against Drewbie? Granted it was a groupstage game (at least I think so) but still

Yeah, it was on Shattered Temple, I forget which MLG though.

I think Zelniq was the one who did that, old LG player if im not mistaken??
haha, some of those are really funny. we could add like 100 more Idra ragequits and a lot of games in the very earliest GSL seasons though. i distinctly remember a TvT where one player had a CC fly right over the other guy's army and Tastosis watched it die in disbelief. i don't remember the players anymore, maybe someone that was on Prime back then?

Oh god I remember that. At first it was weird cause the the observer was focused on the Terran and then the zerg (can't remember who the players were) just said something like "lol, GG" and left. Then they opened up the replay and saw that he accidentally detonated something like 40 banelings that were just chilling at his out base XD.
What makes the Stephano/ForGG one so good is they got both of their reactions on the webcams, so priceless seeing the despair on ForGG and the "I can't believe he just did that" look on Stephano.

I think it was for one of the recent WCS qualifiers. Map was Starstation and Tod instantly went to proxy a two gate inside his opponents base. For whatever reason it wasn’t the cross-only SS map and his opponent had actually spawned vertical. Tod didn’t realise until the first zealot came out only to see an empty base, at which point he called GG.
*edit* Thinking about it I'm not actually 100% sure it was Tod so please correct me if I'm wrong
There was a game in one of the early GSLs on Delta Quadrant, where a Protoss player (was it San?) blocked his expansion-nexus by misplacing a pylon and had to kill the pylon to drop the nexus.

I forget who it was, but I was watching some high-level pro match where a player misclicked and detonated ~15 banelings on some destructible rocks. There wasn't even any action going on at the time, both players were just sitting around and macroing up.
Rain not building a pylon against hyvaa in the base race... I was SCREAMING at my screen (at work right now so I can't access youtube to post video, will update)
Bomber vs Losira in one GSTL match. IIRC: Bomber has upper hand, dances his marines, loses the advantage. Losira takes the fight into Bomber's base, and decides to dance his zerglings in revenge. Losira loses the advantage too. Bomber takes the game, he and Ace dance by the IM bench.

I would LOVE to watch a VoD of this if you have one...

MC vs Naniwa, BO5, game 3 on Metalopolis with Naniwa up 2:0 MC attacks and fails, builds a Dark Shrine at home, Naniwa counterattacks, pushes up into MC's base, starts dancing his Zealots and then loses the game to DTs. The funniest part about it though: the Dark Shrine was placed extremely close to MC's ramp and Naniwa could have seen it with one more step to the left from his Zealots.

Wrong progression of events. Losira dances, loses advantage, loses hatch, Bomber dances, loses army, but then Bomber has another army (as he often does), MULEs Losira, dances, then MULEs Losira again out of the game.
Then Ace gets up and dances in front of the IM bench while Bomber awkwardly stands behind him.
cba to read the whole thread but that game against... leenock I think...? at an MLG where HuK cancelled warpgate research at the last second and died to an all in.
He knew there was mutalisks waiting for him (viking scout) but he decided to go for a 3 medivacs drop and get completly intercepted... I repeat: HE KNEW THERE WAS MUTALISKS THERE
Another classic is Naniwa vs MC, at a 2011 Dreamhack I believe. Naniwa moves in with some zealots in MC's base and decides to dance them because he believes he's won. Little does he know that MC is warping a dark shrine just out of sight range.
So is Huk panic storming his entire army due to burrowed Roaches against Snute going to make it on this list? That was hillarious. HuK would've lost that for sure anyway so I don't know if it's worthy of a spot.
WHen I see moon banling fail I always remember the most baddest banemine in history too. not the one with ramp and hydralisks, in one tvz moon engaged terran bio but with little numbers and just moments after his ling bling mass made conttact with marines he burrows 3-4 banelings, and after obviously doomed attack failed terran moved on to lose his whole army

Yeah, I was about to say that I think the one you meant was (and then I saw Gedatsu's post)...

Naniwa did lose that game. It was on Metalopolis, I'm pretty sure, probably cross positions, MC was in the bottom-left position from memory.
EDIT: Got it.
Unfortunately, the commentary isn't the best (they have the production tab open and don't notice multiple DT warping in there just because they weren't in MC's main), but fine other than that.

I will fill this post with more WCS S2 Finals games, there was a lot of interesting or strange mistakes...
