I was able to achieve yet another three kill like I did for our match against Woongjin. Even though I got three kills against Woongjin, we lost that match so I am happy that we were able to win this time.
Were you disappointed that you didn't grab an all kill?
The team won so I am not disappointed. Right now, the only thing I'm disappointed about is our loss against Woongjin.
Why was the loss against Woongjin such a big disappointment?
During our match against Woongjin, our playing coach said a lot of great things about me after I grabbed those three kills. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take those compliments and implement them in my very next game so I ended up losing.
Why are you putting up such great results even though you're a rookie?
I realized that when I play aggressively, I can always utilize my opponent's mistakes and work them in my favor. This is also a reason as to why my aggression plays often work out well.
How do you feel about STX SouL being ranked the lowest?
The atmosphere is not bad. However, since we're ranked the lowest, we increased the amount of practicing we need to do. I believe that our results will improve because of all this practicing we've been doing. A lot of people were saying that we are a great team before the season began, but after the season began we lost many games because of build orders and many games because of skill differences. So everyone is working hard right now to increase their skills. Starting from round three, I think we'll be able to make really good results once we center our team around our ace INnoVation.
Your match against HerO resulted in a regame.
During that match, I didn't even think about the possibility of my opponent also doing a DT build and I just focused on properly executing my build. I got flustered once I saw HerO's DTs but I regained my composure and retaliated. I'm pretty sure HerO also got flustered once he saw my build order. However, I was able to do really well in the regame because my coaches were able to talk to me and lessen the pressure on my shoulder.
Did you expect to secure multiple kills when you were sent out today?
I told myself that I should grab at the very least, around two kills. I prepared PvPs for Ohana and Entombed Valley and my opponents fell right into place so that's why I was able to grab three kills.
If you had to evaluate your performance?
I think I did okay overall but I couldn't prepare for the final game so I just did what my hands told me to do. Aside from the fact that I wasn't able to properly secure my third base, I am satisfied with my performance.
This season's goals?
I want to grab at least around twenty victories. After I've grabbed twenty victories, then I'll aim for my maximum goal.
Anything else you would like to say?
I know a hyung who will be heading to the army soon. I was able to meet up with him and his parents. I really hope he come back safe and sound. Lastly, I want to thank my relatives for often buying me delicious food whenever I meet up with them.
