You're finally in Code S.

I haven't been able to practice much due to my poor bodily condition, but I was able to win today by making good in-game decisions.

How had you predicted that today's match would turn out?

I believed that today's games would be difficult due to my weak TvP.

You took an easy victory during the first set with solid decision-making.

I hadn't expected Colossi, so I did lose some of my army during the early game, but because I had experience dealing with similar situations during practice, I was able to win.

In the second set, you displayed some aggressive Tactical Nuke play.

I think that the only answer against Protoss during late game TvP is to use Nukes.

Do you have confidence that you'll do well next season?

I actually don't. I don't think my skill is Code S-level yet, so my goal for next season is to maintain my Code S seed.

Any last words?

I want to thank First, Tear, and my Protoss teammates for helping me with practice, as well as our team's sponsors, OCZ and Tt eSports.

You've made it into Code S after a straightforward match.

I'm sick of having to return to Code S so many times. I haven't accomplished much in Code S as of now, so I want to show some proper results during the next season.

During the first set, you suffered damage from an early Phoenix attack, but won with an exceptional read on the situation.

I heard that Mini has a harassment-oriented style, and I anticipated that he would go for Phoenix or Void Ray play. Not only was I able to prepare against him in advance, but Mini skimped on producing Gateway units.

Have you felt inspired by how well your teammate, Life, is doing?

I have, and I also think that his performance at such a young age is astounding. I'm learning a lot by being at Life's side, so I'm wondering whether I can't grow stronger by absorbing his style.

The SC2 community calls you the Code S Detector.

I don't ever lose during Code A or Code B. When I read Mini's interview, I found that he was taking me lightly, so even though I was tired because of WCS Asia, I wanted to show him otherwise. I wanted to show Mini that he wasn't good enough for Code S.

How were the WCS Asia Finals?

I hadn't had any experience competing in foreign tournaments, so I thought that I would have an advantage in a event that only lasted a couple of days, but it was very exhausting. For the moment, I'm satisfied with qualifying for the WCS Global Finals, but I want to finally turn my career around at the global finals by winning the tournament (laughs).

You've qualified for the next season of Code S as well as the WCS Global Finals. How do you plan to prepare for both?

For now, I'm just thinking of helping Life for the GSL finals. After he wins, I would like it if he returned the favor so that I can achieve better results.

Do you have any last words?

I want to thank our team's sponsors, Red Bull, Zowie, Joy Gear, and BenQ, as well as Squirtle, PartinG, Avenge, and Life for helping me practice. I'm thinking of going to the finals on Saturday to cheer Life on, but because he's such a good player, I think that he'll be able to take the championship.

How does it feel to have returned to Code S within two seasons?

I really regret losing to Rain in Code S during the Round of 16 because I had wanted to make sure that I won that match. I want to face him once more and defeat him.

You won today's match with few complications using Marine play.

I searched for Terminator's PvT record but couldn't find anything, so I focused on my fundamentals by practicing on ladder. I think I got lucky today.

Did you plan to base your play today around early-game aggression?

I had prepared my early-game attacks on the fly, but I was able to win easily during both the first and second sets because of Terminator's missed Force Fields.

How have you been spending your time recently?

I've been practicing very hard, but I don't know whether I'm doing badly because I lack skill or because Terran is weak. Whenever I see Mvp make it to another final, I become less sure (laughs).

You haven't been able to show exceptional results since winning the Super Tournament.

When I lose a game, memories of that tournament occasionally pop up. I want to work harder in order to experience that glory one more time, and I want to put in even more effort next year so that I can perform better than I normally do.

You won't be playing any tournament games for a while. How are you thinking of spending your time?

Because I'm still weak at the matchup, I want to focus on improving my TvZ.

Any last words?

I'm grateful to Shine, Punisher, and Inori for coming today to cheer me on. Shine and HyuN failed to make it into Code S, so I hope they advance through the Up-and-Downs. Finally, I want to thank Sky Digital, our team's sponsor.

You successfully reached Code S on your first try.

I wanted to make certain that I won this match. I'm glad that I won, but I'm still not satisfied with my performance today. I made too many mistakes during the early game.

Your recent results have been remarkable.

Whenever I practice, I feel as if I'm growing, and I keep developing more and more confidence. That's why I think I've been doing so well.

You won your first set in a game that lasted over 40 minutes and went well into the late game.

For mirror matches, which player wins is invariably resolved through a single decisive battle, so I built Hydralisks for extra offensive power in order to win.

You won a massive engagement at the end of a macro game in order to take the second set and the series.

I started at a disadvantage early on, so I went for the long game and invested heavily in upgrades. Those upgrades gave me the opportunity to turn the situation around during the middle and late game.

You're the second KeSPA player to advance directly into Code S.

I was confident of succeeding since the first round of Code A. Since my goal was to enter Code S, I feel satisfied with myself now.

We would like to hear about your personal future goals.

When the third round began, my primary goal was to beat DongRaeGu. Now that I'm in Code S, I want to at least manage to advance to the quarterfinals.

How were the WCS Asia Finals?

Since I began showing good results in Starcraft 2, I've really wanted to participate in foreign events. I'm glad that I was able to play in a foreign tournament, become friendly with e-Sports Federation players, learn a lot of things, and enjoy many new experiences.

Commentators have said that you have the potential to become the #1 Zerg next season.

At the present, there are many other strong Zergs, and I still feel inadequate. Once I learn the strong points of these players, I think that it could be possible.

You've appeared shaky during your Brood War career but have shown decisive results for Starcraft 2.

I didn't practice enough during Brood War. I think I was able to change when I transitioned because I was able to keep growing in confidence as I practiced, in addition to having fun.

Do you have any last words?

People have said that my mirror matchup is weak, so I wanted to show them some proper ZvZ today. However, I wasn't able to play very well, so I'll make sure to do far better next time.

lol, that Mvp comment from Polt. I can imagine Korean terrans getting frustrated and want to complain about balance, but then Mvp makes another deep run so they can't.

I thought Roro made a lot of mistakes. The only thing he beat DRG on was army engagement. Which, fortunately for him, happens to be the most important aspect of SC2 play.

Very happy that Roro is in code s where he belongs unlike a very unworthy Broodwar pro who stole his seed this season.
