Razer Proxygates with Team It's Gosu

Set to bring more SC2 action to North American gamers

Carlsbad, Calif. – 26th March, 2012 – Razer™, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports and North American professional gaming team and portal It’s Gosu, will be joining forces to push and develop the Starcraft2 scene in North America. Razer and It’s Gosu share a common goal in supporting competitive gaming at both the professional and casual gaming level. Although new to the scene, It’s Gosu is quickly becoming an integral part of a perpetually growing eSports community scene in the United States.

It’s Gosu started out as a community page to host tournaments, and officially launched its website in the dawn of 2011. Following its overnight success, It’s Gosu quickly expanded to support the StarCraft II team All 4 One with American Pokebunny and former MVP player HwangSin joining the team. By the end of 2011, It’s Gosu added a League of Legends team along with the Swedish Heroes of Newerth team JAGA. Their recent acquisition of the DOTA 2 squad EZ Style only further cemented It’s Gosu’s place as an all-round esports organisation.

It’s Gosu now hosts monthly online tournaments, with February’s prize pool featuring a $4,000 prize purse. Through events, news, and interaction, It’s Gosu strikes the perfect balance between supporting seasoned professionals while still offering new players the opportunity to enter the competitive scene – a mission which Razer strongly believes in.

“It’s Gosu supports both professional gamers and the community simultaneously, and its rise to success in North America has been phenomenal,” says Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President, Razer USA. “These guys clearly hit the ground running, and they don’t look like they are going to stop anytime soon. Razer is extremely happy to offer aid to not only a team of experienced gamers but also a blossoming community. It’s Gosu is definitely going places.”

“To be able to announce a partnership with Razer is a dream come true to me in many ways. When we started our family here, the goal was to achieve success on multiple levels, games, and platforms,” says It’s GosuTeam Manager Scott "GoSuRuM" Ball. “Through the hard work of our players and staff, we are always moving forward like we strive to. When I look at the list of teams that are representing Razer with us, it reminds me of how much of an honor this really is. I know I speak for everyone here at It’s Gosu when I say that we look forward to representing Razer's amazing brand throughout the world in our travels this year.”

Meh, it's feels so lame now - Razer just sponsoring every single team, like there is no unique thing to it anylonger.

There is still a few teams sponsored by steelseries but razer just sponsoring too many, they might as well sponsor every team out there.
Hell, it's about time

I took out the "lame" parts of your post, and kept the good stuff.
After doing so, I agree completely! YES! Razer should sponsor every team out there, lets get that money flowing into ESPORTS and keep our homegirl Elly happy.

Gotta question how much Razer puts in to each of their teams if they are sponsoring so much and for so many people. Can they really be putting this much money into esports to financially secure each team for their portion?

There is nothing wrong with Razer sponsoring many teams. It is good for esports no matter what. If they would sponsor every team that means that every team would get more money. What is wrong with that?

Nike sponsored almost every sports team out there. But Adidas and other brands still control their share of sponsored teams.

Razer is just like the Nike of eSports. Then we have SteelSeries, Thermaltake, etc.

Oh Razer... lol

Seriously though I'm psyched about this. Been using Razer stuff since way before I got into SC2 so this is really cool! Thanks a lot for the support!
