Seriously. This community would be nothing if it weren't for all the pro players who were willing to share their thoughts on the game, give feedback after a tournament, or offer suggestions on balance. I notice almost all of the Liquid/Root/EG/MouZ guys like Tyler, Idra, Incontrol, Morrow, Jinro, Drewbie, QXC, Ret, TLO, and many many more from other respective teams take the time to offer their perspective.
Also a shoutout to people who give and give to the community, and still find time to post with us, like Day[9], Zlasher, Artosis, DjWheat, and of course many more. You all make Team Liquid what it is. And if it wasn't for you there'd be very little reason to read the forums. Thank you, Famous people who've been increasing their activity on the boards. You make Starcraft II great, and make us feel like we're part of the group.
So from me personally, and the community as a whole, Thank you for posting!

If this was an open letter you could sign I would so do it. Anyway thanks guys for posting. I know how tough it must be when everything you say is questioned by people who really don't understand your level of play but you post anyway. So awesome!

This thread is going to be a great illustration of how things'd be otherwise methinks.
But yes, definately /signed. It's one of the main reasons I drop by daily. Makes the whole thing feel much more like a community instead of two separated systems ("the pros" and "the fans"). Though some days that doesn't sound too bad either :o)

Yeah, thank you. I have to say that SC2 community is a lot better than other gaming communities, in the sense that pro-players actually contribute to it, instead of running away from it.

I know I don't make or enforce rules or anything. But I don't think that SeedLing guy deserved a ban for saying he'd "like-button" the original post.

Weird post. People think 'pros' are doing us a favor by posting here...? Seems like something pros should be doing, along with many other things, to try to grow the game IMO.

That was pretty funny to be honest, had me laughin for a while there.
But I gotta agree with the OP, without the famous pros this community wouldn't by far be as big as it is now. I hope we can get some of them pros to post here

I second this OP. Whenever I see a guy like IdrA post, I know it's actually someone who knows what he is talking about. Reading the pros opinions on the game benefits the rest of us a lot.

I'd like to thank the pros for giving us a chance to explain to them why queueing units is a good idea, mutalisks are great in ZvZ, vikings are the best counter to mutas, 11pool is the best zerg opener in every situation, and many other important SC2 concepts that they can take to Korea and show those noobs the REAL way to play Starcraft!
Seriously though, I know the flood of bad players arguing with solid advice and discussion gets frustrating, but you should post anyway because lots of people recognize the names of people who know their shit and can filter out the people who argue against experience with unsupported theorycraft or opinions based on lower level games.

This is about the same in all communities. Actually, if pros and fans interact and contribute, it's a community. If pros put on shows and fans applaud, it's a fanbase and profiteers.
I really hope pros continue to post and the community doesn't give up on being one.
