Does the power of the void protect them? I know that the void is what let them slay the cerebrates and when combined with the khala let tassadar kill the overmind so that would make sense. However this is never stated. Did blizzard forget or is just implied? They don't wear protective suits like terrans do so that doesn't explain it either.
Why are Nerazim immune to hyperevolutionary virus

Wait, I thought that (I forgot her name) the matriach of the Dark Templar, and the Templar who is in charge of you in sc/bw both get infested? I'm no lore-hero though, so forgive me if you are all talking about some different kind of infestation ![]()

Kerrigan used her psionic powers to bind the Matriarch to her will, brainwashing the Dark Templar leader. Kerrigan's control over her was of the mind, not infestation.

They could easily still be using some of that knowledge. I don't think so, the reason why they were ostracized is because they (and their descendents) never chose to follow to khala after the Aion of Strife. The feared losing their independence and many of them sever their psionic tendrils to exclude themselves from the khala.

Dark templar, being genetically similar to the Aiur protoss, would therefore be immune to a virus that neither group had experienced before. You just ignored all the lore explained in the thread and came up with your own explanation.... its not genetics its the khala that protects them.

Judicator Templar Khalai What you said was kinda like saying The Swedes, unlike the carpenters, do not follow the religion but they've never documented infestation. It made no sense. Finally, its mentioned that Protoss having purity of form, are uninfestable.

Finally, its mentioned that Protoss having purity of form, are uninfestable. Khalai are followers of the Khala, so dark templars/nerazhim are not Khalai. Also the fact that the Protoss have purity of form is why they are SUPPOSED to be infestable, as that was the whole point of creating two races with corresponding perfectiong, and what prevents that is supposed to be their psionic unification through the Khala. The real explanation for this inconsistency, of course, is that all of this lore was not thought out before-hand, and even now it's questionable whether it's all planned out even in the games. Even in the basic lore of the Protoss and Terran there's oddities, and it's best to just glaze over it. If you want a game with deep lore, play Warhammer 40k.

Finally, its mentioned that Protoss having purity of form, are uninfestable. Khalai is the name of the worker class and also all protoss that follow the Khala it has two meanings. Purity of form like previously stated is what made the xel naga want to combine the protoss with a purity of essence race (like the zerg) so that would make them more infestable.
