Thousands upon thousands of people die everyday in all sorts of ways. Kobe was one of my favorite players but shit happens. He died today, just like the ~150,000 others who did. It's just a shame that he was fine with putting his 13 year old daughter on dangerous vehicles like helicopters regularly. Especially in a smog ridden/foggy city like LA. He might as well let her ride on the back of a motorcycle regularly as a method of transportation.

A helicopter in Hawaii just crashed weeks ago in January killing 7. Helicopter crashes are not an uncommon occurrence. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/01/us/hawaii-helicopter-crash-wreckage-investigation/index.html Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board are working on coming up with plans to recover the wreckage of a tour helicopter that crashed in Hawaii, killing seven people. The helicopter crashed into a ridge on Thursday about 25 minutes after taking off from Lihue Airport, the agency said in a news release. It then fell about 100 feet and was engulfed in flames, the NTSB said.

Helicopter crashes are not an uncommon occurrence. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/01/us/hawaii-helicopter-crash-wreckage-investigation/index.html There was also a helicopter crash in Kauai on December 26, killed 7 I think. I was supposed to take that flight on the 23rd for vacation, opted out because of low clouds and some brisk winds. Never again do I ride a helicopter.

Kobe tried to give every fan in Toronto full value for every $1 they spent on a ticket. On January 27 2020 15:35 Twinkle Toes wrote: Classy. I wont even respond to your previous sentences. On January 27 2020 14:25 CorsairHero wrote: Helicopters and flying are safer than being in a car... Guys like Thurman Munson and Roy Halladay were not safer than being in a car even though they were flying in a plane. i think flying is safer when its a major commercial aircraft flown by a full time career pilot whose entire life revolves around flying planes. When some part time pilot gets into a helicopter or airplane ... they rarely have life insurance coverage. If they die the life insurance company gives the family nothing because the investigators usually find some pilot error that was a factor in the crash. What has been revealed so far is that the pilot requested special permission to fly into a heavy/thick fog. if this helicopter pilot had as much experience as say Thurman Munson or Roy Halladay then I'd say Bryant exercised poor judgement. I'm sure more will be revealed in the next few weeks. When Munson and Halladay died these were considered very sad events. However, as more details came forward both of these guys exercised extraordinarily poor judgement and were major factors in their own death. Roy Halladay probably exercised even worse judgement than Kobe though. Anyhow, we'll find out more in the coming weeks and months... NTSB is investigating.

Last year's MIP and now All Star Pascal Siakam is the Eastern Conference Player Of The Week. On February 23 2018 14:47 JimmyJRaynor wrote: the Raptor with the highest ceiling is probably Pascal Siakam. He is a converted soccer player and started playing basketball at age 17. Casey knows Siakam's ceiling is sky-high and its evident by how he lets him keep on chucking up 3's at a 19% clip. If Casey thought Siakam had low potential he wouldn't let him fuck up so many possessions. Dwane Casey... take a bow.

Was she trying to say Los Angeles Knickers?

But I heard the apology before the clip so I may be influenced. It is a pretty believable story compared to just a random Nbomb though. And I think if she had she would have instantly apologized where as in this situation she didn't react as if she said anything wrong. To me it is a non story but for people who like to get mad about this kind of thing I'm sure they are "outraged".

If the Raptors can make the salaries work I think a trade deadline deal to re-acquire Bizmack Biyombo would be a good move and would help their problems with interior warfare. The Raptors need some muscle on the inside and Biyombo provides that. Bring Back The Biz!

I do enjoy basketball and football, but it is kinda weird how many elite players start playing in their late teens. In sports like wrestling and soccer you'd just never catch up cognitively and instinctually.

perhaps all that growing really tall people go through from 14 to 17 cancels out any precise co-ordination and physical athletic instincts they built before puberty. https://www.essentialparent.com/lesson/why-is-my-teenager-so-clumsy-2371/ Also, perhaps soccer players are better equipped to transition to other sports. In Major League Baseball... the first wave of Dominican Republic baseball players in the late 70s and early 80s ... a lot of them were converted soccer players.
