I also look forward to the east playoffs. There is 4-5 teams that have a legit chance of making it out and almost all of the teams that make the playoffs are deserving (which hasn't been the case in some time. I'm much more interested in the second round but I'm still as excited as I have been for the playoffs in a long time.

the national US media and the Canadian hockey media have dealt with the Raptors with scorn and condescension... but Glen Grunwald and Masai Ujiri have been great leaders for the Raptors. I'm quite a rational person, even what you could call a numbers guy (computer scientist), but here it is: Despite all tangible evidence of the contrary (expert opinions, advanced stats, etc), I still believe Kobe is an (easy) top 10 player of all time, AND not too far from Lebron in term of skill and impact on the game. People have Jordan and Lebron as 1a 1b, and Kobe far behind, behind a whole slew of other players. I think the difference between Jordan and Lebron is greater than the one between Lebron and Kobe. I believe it, I feel it, but I don't really have anything to back it up. Mine is even less popular because I think LBJ is not number 2. More controversial: Duncan>>>>> Magic

he should hire a prez of b-ball ops and then interfere with his job as much as he interferes with the Dodgers.

God how I hate him for wasting Lebrons first LA year!

Pippen, Hakeem, Hill 5. AI, TMac

Back when teams were putting up less than 10 3s a game the 3 was not nearly as important as it is now. If you go on various team reddit threads there will be people screaming about some player with a career 3P% of ~37% who is only shooting 20% for the past 2 weeks. I don't think all these various shooters are to "blame".. I think its in the nature of the 3-point shot. Similarly, do you know how many major league hitters with a .370 on base percentage go for a 2 week stretch where their on-base average is .200 or lower. A great many .. and it happens all year long to various players. I think its in the nature of the activity, namely, hitting a baseball. Now , NBA teams are vulnerable to these random/chaotic slumps and hot streaks. NBA 3 point shooting specialists are vulnerable to the same crisis of confidence issues that baseball hitters face.

Giannis on being friends with other players. If Giannis pans out, he may eclipse Durant's superstar era and be the face of the league sooner than expected.
