But you are right with out Durrant Kawhi or Kyrie they are going to be hooped and the Unicorn was a ton to give up. Also in small deal the Bucks traded Thon Maker to the pistons for Stanley Johnson.

Kyle Lowry is the closest thing to Wendel Clark this town has seen since 1993. 2 Titanics that hit icebergs a long time ago... are shuffling the deck chairs. Porter for Portis//Parker http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25940828/bulls-get-otto-porter-wizards-bobby-portis-jabari-parker

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25945881/memphis-grizzlies-trade-marc-gasol-toronto-raptors Things really open up for Norman Powell now. And Norm Powell has earned the extra playing time he is about to get. I'd say the Raptors improved more than the Bucks so far. There is still 30 minutes to go though.

To why Gasol helps. He is one of the best defending mids and he is a great passer on O. Now you have line ups that can shut down teams when you have Gasol, Kawhi, Green, OG and Lowry and you still have Ibaka to either go really big or pull Gasol and do what you were doing before. I think Gasol helps vs the bucks but helps a lot more vs the 76'rs.

Lowry, Green, Leonard, Siakam, Gasol. Ibaka, VanVleet, Powell. Since returning from injury just before XMas Powell is playing the best overall basketball of his career. Nurse is letting him run the offense on occasion and be a play maker. When you hang out with smart people some of it rubs off. Powell is playing smart basketball. OG will be fighting with Boucher for whatever minutes are left over. OG shooting 43% from the free throw line makes him very vulnerable to lose his minutes to Boucher or a combo of the main 8 guys Woj with the Seinfeld reference. This Monroe trade and the Malachi Richardson trade are cap moves for Toronto. If you like solving partial differential equations in your spare time then Blake Murphy wrote a long article in The Athletic explaining how this helps Toronto's cap situation... its behind a paywall though.

I do think OG has a place in the playoffs due to his defenses. I suspect nurse will deploy him and Powell both who is hot and offense defense.

Usually when a family member dies you have 1 long absence and return. OG has had 3 different extended "personals reasons" stretches this year where he has not played. 1 in pre-season and 2 during the season. Then a sprained wrist. First week of February and his longest stretch of play is 6 weeks with no training camp play. The last 2 weeks of that 6 week stretch he looked like last year's OG. A month after turning 21 his only surviving parent died in his sleep. He has been 1/2 a step behind on many rotations, actions and gimmicks all year long .. he is out of position in the zone they run. . Its clear he is in a bit of a mental fog. who can blame him? MLSE has really put the clamps down on any info regarding what is going on in OG's personal life and that is probably for the best. Needless to say, players are not robots. The only thing the Raptors can do is let him recover mentally at his own pace.

Regarding ATL/Tor tonight: When Toronto plays teams like Atlanta with a couple of low IQ defenders on the floor Kyle Lowry carves up the defense like he is Joe "fucking" Montana ...except he has a "7" on his chest. EDIT: FREE FRIES ! ! !... combined with that mobile order $2 big mac... Canadians can get a big mac meal tomorrow for $2.10 in Canadian money. I can feel my arteries clogging already.

My order would be 1 Ellington 3 pointers needed 2 Morris Flexibility up frount 3 Lopez Not bought out yet but really the perfect 3rd big 4 Stauskis bring the man home, he can shoot the three make it a 2 way low risk fan friendly move.
