LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. β May 31st, 2011. β Today Evil Geniuses (EG), North Americaβs premier professional gaming team and a world leader in e-Sports, have an announced an official partnership with popular video game apparel company Split Reason for 2011. So what is up with esports companies in California typing "LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. β May 31st, 2011. β Today " before writing their article? They are writing as if they were an actual news company or the fact that them being in LA has any significance to the article. Is this just an attempt to look legit? I've always wondered why the California esports people do this because I've only noticed them do it. It's called a press release.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Press_release
You're making a post on a forum...A Press release and posting this information of date-location seems redundant and unnecessary considering the date is on the post already and the location for a press release on a forum isn't going to make you seem legit. It makes it look like you're trying hard to be legit.
Just my opinion and I know it's a press release, I was wondering why they are going above and beyond to appear legit to a bunch of nerds on a forum.

Can't check it at the moment as the server seems busy Pretty sure the whole thing was copy-pasted off the EG website (check source), so its still considered a press release >_>

Annoying that the sizes are only in inches when the only country still using those are the States, would be nice to have stuff in centimetres for international people. :>
|
why hasn't a pro team signed a deal with a website like threadless yet? i'm sure the tees and jerseys would be a hell of a lot cooler.

Haha i saw something about EG..split..and reason and got really worried. thank god >_>

Awesome, cool stuff. Grats EG another great partnership.

Actually, Justin Wong is bigger in the fighting game scene than Idra is in the SC scene.
Or more successful, at least.

I can't speak for the other shirts, but the EG jersey uses American Apparel which is considered one of the higher quality brands on the market!
One brand can have many grades of fabric to produce from; it's better to rely on examining the actual product rather than just flipping up the brand. 2 easy things to look at, start off with the texture & seams. For example, certain fabrics, such as short fibers, are cheaper and less durable but looks just the same when they're new.
Note, I'm not in anyway saying these shirts are bad, I'm just saying the idea of "oh, it's a good brand" doesn't always work.

Please read the words "...is considered one of the higher quality brands..." and understand that those two words imply that research was conducted before making the decision.

Is the shirt pre-order only?
|
