The WardiTV Summer Championship returns for 2022, bigger and better than ever! Unfortunately due to too many event and schedule conflicts, we have had to cancel the WardiTV Spring Championship, however we have merged the prize pool & qualified players from the Spring Championship into the Summer Championship. This allows us to provide a $9,000 prize pool and means we already have 14 out of 24 players set for the Summer Championship event, with the remaining slots being decided from a set of four qualifiers.

All dates in this announcement are subject to change, we are expecting some conflicts with other events and have back-up dates and schedules ready to go in case we need to make some major changes.

Four qualifiers will qualify two players each into the event. The final two spaces in the event will be invites decided by the organizer but based on qualifier participation / performance. All players can play in all qualifiers, the only restrictions for qualifiers are the server the games are played on.

The main event will have 24 players in total. Eight players will be seeded directly into the Ro16, based on their WardiTV 2022 Series Points Standings.

Reynor found a way to play Protoss, with 95+ drones and a very aggressive playstyle + harrassement. He has also swiped to Protoss on Stargazers which is an interesting option because of this narrow map. This time maybe moderators won't ban me for the simple reason of saying Reynor is doing better than other Protoss.

Reynor stated he felt pretty depressed at the moment but what is depressing too was clem's loss, he had this on the bag, 6 bases vs 6 bases, ghost/tanks vs hydra/bane/lurkers with already a 15k losses advantage, he just has to trade and let reynor dies slowly but he chooses to push, destroys the reynor's 5th but let his natural open and then his prod to reynor desesperate's attempt to win the game.
And I still think it would have won if he didn't move command 7-8 ghosts on the lurkers and this crucial moment :/

Nah, Reynor style with Protoss, at least in PvZ, is a lot more turtling and defensive. He set up wall of building, Archons, Storm and Stalker along with massive worker count and Gateway. Then he wait until Zerg commit into those defensive points and counter with Zealot runby while remaxing instantly with more Gateway units. Thats not the herO style which is about map control, and non-stop trading on Zerg side of the map.

I've never seen a player so stubbornly play for the late game and be so consistently mediocre at it. Maybe Spirit should reconsider his approach.

Spirit isnt playing the lategame because hes great at it, hes playing the lategame because he cant win in the early and mid-game. His style is about turtling and defense even more than Maru.

EDIT: after the finals: 11-1 as Z, 1-6 as P. not sure why he keeps playing protoss, lol
