Remember he was like 30 supply behind when the phoenix colo caught him unaware Creator was way behind in upgrades and Maru was able to sneak an early fourth so Maru was in a good spot at that point imo. Creator could have pulled ahead if he attacked 4th when he had more supply but I think he didn't know about it and with worse upgrades he didn't try his luck with a fight

But when Maru does it against 2 top tier players in Solar and Creator, its literally crickets Because the people praising Serral for that don't watch GSL.

Creator had a window but that was quite a hard one to spot indeed

Solar is an elite player outside of the GSL, easily on the same skill-level as Rogue (minus the mindgames) but whenever he enters the GSL booth it feels like it's a different player playing Rogue with a lead and a bank going for the kill is absolutely a scarier player than Solar in that position. His ability to build and keep up momentum is insane. Rogue is also much better at planning a series with prep time than Solar is. Solar's good, but I really don't think he's been at that sort of level for years now.

He semi regular beats maru in these ultra lategames when almost no other zerg would do (not today tho), he can be really impressive.

And it wasn't even that surprising, at least to me, as his skill level in those kind of events is usually extremely high. But regardless if he's at Rogue's level or not, it's very clear that for some reason he can't show his real skill level in the GSL.
