Worst case Trap gets pinned to 1-2 revealed pylons while Parting makes another nexus and wins Trap also had to destroy 2 nexus while Parting needed only one. Straight up fight was probably the only way to lose for him

Would have been possible too, although Trap had much more damage in his army with immortals at the back. I feel like that choke in the natural was always gonna favor Trap too much against a pure charge/archon army But I think if Parting even just has his army on the map to threaten a basetrade while stalkers stay on the high ground to pin Trap back, there's no way he loses. He'd initiate the basetrade much earlier if Trap moves out. By the time Trap gets across he'd have already lost his nexus and Parting could have safely evacuated probes

Probably doesn't matter anyway since the winner loses to Zest.

But we'll never know. | ||
