He did, the conditions are differents tho but considering serral's weakness in zvp I guess it's a super close call.

Serral's achievements would appear as impressive to me if he were korean, TRUE to name one; he would be the true heir of Life, potentially. I would for sure support a godlike TRUE(just as I would if he were a black South african player for example) whereas, I admit, I would probably be less enthusiastic since he wouldn't be the first non korean best player in the world. Conversely, if TIME were in Serral's place, I would be very pleased, you would be happier since he plays Terran(such a story would that be, a WCS Terran being the best in the world) and SC2's number would skyrocket even more, carried by millions of chinese viewers. Serral surely is not at his peak right now but his shape seems good, except for an apparent weakness to Protoss; Serral vs Neeb happening is nice but I guess everyone was asking for a bo7 Grand Final between the two. Jonkoping's victory was indeed relevant, the last two sweeps in Neeb's favor ultimately didn't matter; it's time for Serral to beat Neeb again after almost one year and half. In any of case, I would not mind to see the winner of Special vs Reynor lift the trophy. Comparing pre 2018(even worse, pre 2017) Serral to his ascended version is like speaking of 2013 Dear and post BlizzCon Dear or pre 2017 Rogue to peak Rogue: despite they are the same players, the difference in their level of play is so staggering this kind of comparisons become not that meaningful. Serral is not faceless, we had that impression because he was not comfortable while being interviewed and because being forced to speak english kind of masked his personality; he is much more at ease now, it's evident. On a side note, SortOf is not Code S material at the moment but making fun of a player who qualified for the Sacred Tournament twice last year doesn't really get on well with all the claims of how hard and competitive it is(and how godly Maru can be because he won it four times straight).

Being a target for calling out Terran bias for how much I used to whine years ago, I'm very very happy someone sees how much I love Neeb :D <3 do you know how stupid it is that I sincerely love him more than everyone else and people tell me I'm lying because Blizzard pays me to? Lmao honestly having a slight bias for the race you play and love should be fine, a caster can also be a fan of a player or race, and and I dont think you go overboard in the slightest, not even close. people are just salty, your casting is beautiful and definitely one of the best out there, love watching you cast Neeb and all terrans

The few bubbleheads who can't look past their race or dislike of a player shall be ignored, Nathanias is indeed quite ok.

A fun narrative, if it wasn't that Serral clearly looked worse than his best at IEM before losing to Inno and soO; he was committing too many uncharachteristic errors, if you can't tell the difference it really is your fault.

It just proves the fact you can't tell the difference, you even openly stated it more than once. Serral was objectively playing worse(and I started saying that before he actually lost).
