I don't see why people are favoring Neeb in PvP. This is no longer 2016. Neeb has been struggling in PvP for awhile (two losses to Hurricane? Probe?), while sOs has been doing decently well in mirrors, his massive slump notwithstanding.

sOs has a 59% offline winrate in 2017, compared to Neeb's 53%, though the sample sizes are admittedly quite small.

Neeb and Nerchio have very realistic chances winning, dunno what's about the doom and gloom. RIP shura and showtime though.

True, but looking at his PvP results, he's really only been struggling for about two months now, and prior to that he had had some pretty good PvP results.

And the thing is, sOs has very few matches in general from which to form a basis for his PvP. He's played 33 maps against Protoss with a winrate of 54% in 2017, whereas Neeb has played 117 maps against Protoss with a winrate of 70% in 2017.

Of course online matches and weaker opponents skew the results, but the fact is that Neeb has played far more tournament (off and online) matches and is far more consistent.

So while yes, Neeb's offline performance (and against weaker opponents) has been slightly weaker than sOs, Neeb has maintained a strong PvP winrate altogether. And like with KeSPA Cup, although online winrates mean less than offline, they can predict a general trend of how good a person is in a given matchup.
