LeiFeng Cup still exists. It will be held by iG.Edison though it is delayed again. at least two points are true - from daily to weekly, from DouyuTV to PandaTV

DouyuCup is not delayed but who will cast the tournament on the Chinese offfical live stream? Only Cloudy? XiGua playing in WCS (GPL)... the story of MacSed and Scarlett...

Yep I am told monthly final will be on Saturday this week and Thursday next week, exact start times to be announced. It is SSL finals on Saturday would make sense for there to be no KT and SKT1.
Douyu Cup Monthly 1 day 2 is at 7am CEST / 2pm KST, not what is currently set on TL Calendar, if someone can fix please do ~ My misunderstanding when i originally submitted it.

...me too I thought it was in early afternoon in place of the daily cup... damn!
I thought the same which is why it was submitted on TL Calendar for that time ~~ Only realised it wasn't ~4 hours before it started and I had to sleep instead of cast :/
Sorry couldn't stream today had to take care of some stuff ~
Apparently the Monthly finals will be on the 10th of May, usual time. The new format will be 11 Douyu Daily champions over the last month plus 5 Chinese pro players playing a double elimination bracket for $1500 (1000/300/200 split on Top 3).
...and ByuN wins his 3rd cup in a row with the score of 11-1, losing a map only to DeParture in the finals!! I'm really hyped to see him in korean qualifiers in some days! go go go ByuN!
On May 19 2016 00:07 IntoTheheart wrote: How well are the Chinese guys improving?
...I think they improved quite a bit with the new expansion: in this new cup they are having better overall results and more players playing than when the Leifeng Cup was a daily thing. There have been some upsets with a few chinese players beating (or at least well-competing-with) Koreans in the past weeks but, at this day, despite being close once or twice, we still have a complete Korean dominance with 27 cups won of the 27 played...

...he said he had too high ping to play...
The Chinese casters keep hosting on Taiwan instead of Korea, which has a bit effect on ping.

He went offline immediately after semi-final. Douyu thought he went to play in TING but he didn't contact either party. He got DQed from TING because they had already waited for him or so and now he wasn't online, then shortly after they DQed him from Douyu because he was offline. He came back online as the streams were going offline, but the win had already been given to Byun

Today 2 matches are being played at a time in the Monthly Finals, for the English cast we will stream 4 matches live and then we will do the other 4 from replays straight after!

3 reapers I think? it kept you off a 3rd forever though, which i think did more damage the the kills did. i'm not sure how you play that out better though other than positioning.

if i try to take my 3rd he jumps into main and i mean i never even droned my 3rd and still died to a 2base so having it faster wouldnt rly help

I guess it was a bit of finals pressure, and ByuN is very used to playing those kind of online tourneys. You'll show even better games next time, that's for sure. Keep the hard work going. I'm sure you qualify for one of the Korean leagues next year.

Super just really likes colossi vT
This time it lost him the game though.
wouldn't overanalyse this though, they may play each other in their GSL group next week so I guess if Super had some awesome plans in store he wouldn't show them now

Colossi are for protosses that like taking engagements alot, kind of like the zergs that play roach bane corruptor in zvt and just take fights all the time. Storm/Disruptors are better for players that like to play long macro games and go into tempests

makes sense. I guess I should try colossi again. I played a lot with them in the beginning but seemed to lose a lot during that timing window where I had only one colossus and no range. I guess I teched to them a bit too fast

Yeah it's looking pretty grim. Maybe he's hiding builds for ByuN specifically, but I wouldn't bet on him at all. Especially after how Impact destroyed him in GSL.
He also plays NSL(a Chinese Pro league)recently. Beat a Chinese Protoss player with blink stalkers. But as much as I know,he almost lost a BO5 to Xiaose(the organizer of KungFu Cup) few mouth ago

That's a pretty impressive record. >_> Do the others even try?? The best players are too busy with internal training to participate in these?
Super, ByuN and GuMiho are the highest tier players you'll find in Douyu Cup generally. The highest tier KeSPA players either don't get permission to play from their teams or they're not interested (because of the prize pool or other reasons), as with most online events.
