Bly has come such a long way, but in a way it wasn't even that big of a step. He was stomping Koreans in ZvZ in WoL, he just needed something to translate that into tournament success.

Also his interviews were dope as fuck so I'm rooting for him.

The finals are on a day three? ONLY the finals? Are they going to do some other exhibition matches or something? seems like a waste to put ONE match on the day.

If you look at this bracket, and the names in it - Snute, MarineLord, Lilbow, FireCake, State, Huk, Nerchio, Harstem - ro think that none of those players made the Top 8, and we have a final between Drogo and Bly, it really is quite an incredible tournament we've had this weekend. Yes, they both made major LAN finals before, but those were generally considered flukes, and neither of them were considered top-tier foreigners at the start of this weekend.

If Leipzig is supposed to be an indicator for what we should expect in Katowice, then this year is gonna be pretty fun.

Apart from Lilbow, none of those listed have really done well in WCS have they? I know Mlord made a RO8 last year, and im sure Snute has made a few too recently but Europe has always been pretty tight. NA... well, the less said the better.

Its god awful for America. Maybe if it were a weekday you could pick up the "let me watch something before work" crowd but on a weekend its terrible.

Wait this is in 5 hours, this is at 5 am?!

Why would they do that, even for Europe is a strange time.

It is one series, just do it Saturday night if you want the stage for CSGO, it did not end that late...

Worst part is, Bly game tend to last like 10 min

Why the weird time? Because this is a CS:GO tournament first, SC2 tournament second.

I just watch the VODs so I'm not too concerned for myself, but wow this has to be literally the worst scheduled final of all time. Maybe if it were 1 hour earlier, that could be potentially be worse. But as it is, it's basically the period where you most maximize the amount of your EU/NA audience that could possibly be sleeping. From 2 AM PST up to 11 AM in CET. What a window lol.

Too bad there's not a 3rd place match. That'd be so much more interesting to watch Violet vs uThermal.

The CS GO semis went untill midnigth local time i think. They cant have the SC2 finals after that. The workers have to sleep. European workers rigths and all that.

We should be happy that atleast the FIFA2016 finals are before the sc2finals. Otherwise the time would be even worse.

Uh. If waking up at 11am is too hard then I dont know what to say. And its not like the games start rigth away. You can start watching stream at 12pm and be fine. And its an european event with european players. Who gives a shit about NA.

Perfect time for here ahahah.
Also Drogo, just do it.

Lilbow needs you to spend that money into improving the kek house.

what am I looking at here?

Yeah. Doesn't look spectacular yet. Or am I wrong?

I didn't say it was spectacular. But the # of comments is at half of the #1, and still pretty far from #3, while we could have expected that the new, revolutionary, exposure-focused WCS system would have changed that

ah, I thought you were arguing that there were somehow more comments on the forum now

I don't think you'll ever hear me argue in favour of the WCS Circuit
well I mean apart from the fact that Drogo gonna win this event

I don't know who to root for. I am not really fan or drogo or bly

I have to be very honest and day I expected very different finals. it is nice to be surprised, but sad to not see Scarlett, Snute or TLO in finals.

I say drogo wins close finals.

Scarlett and TLO are not top players these days. Neither could have been expected or should have been in the finals. You wouldn't expect Jinro to be in a finals these days either, would you?

11 AM CET, now we can finally compare the viewership of a foreign event with GSL. I wonder if we can break 20k :/.

If we can get 17k watching Bisu vs Effort at 9am we should be able to get 20k, at least i hope so haha

Eh, it's 11 AM on a Sunday. Not a good time on that day of the week for me personally.

How is it a bad time? I don't see how someone would blame the timeslot IF we don't get enough viewers.
I mean sure a little bit later would be better, but that spot is for csgo apparently.

That's bad for eu and trash for na.
Decent views would be a surprise.

Why is it bad for EU? That seems totally reasonable for EU to me

11am on sunday for a youngish audience is fine in your book?

Yes absolutely. Especially considering that this audience watched the same tournament on a saturday evening/night.
It isn't the best spot possible, but it isn't bad at all. Even less so when looking at the context (3pm deadline)

The context like the venue for day 1& 2 is totally dreamhack's responsibility. Basically i expect a good chunk of our audience to be hang over, sleeping or doing family stuff. You won't attract anyone outside of the hardcore audience with such a setting. Which means that the views for this event are at least quite bad overall.

If you are doing "family" stuff, the time won't matter. If you're sleeping at that time you aren't interested in watching anyway and if you are hung over you watch from the bed.

The time is perfectly fine for europeans and I think the average age of the viewers is not what you think.

Any ideas how much build up we'll have before the games start? I wanna watch, but if there's like an hour of talk pre games i'll probably have to give it a miss.
