Hi!
I am looking to exchange ideas and discuss creating a new style of maps that are different than the ones designed today.
I have a background in Psychology and have been researching game design theory for some time now. So, I have a unique way of looking at the game and how to optimize enjoyment.
If anyone is interested, please let me know via PM.
Thanks!

Oh, hihih Cloudy, I think you might want to hang around on the SC2 Melee Mapmaker's Discord server as well as dropping through here
https://discord.gg/NpeSYTs
Tho I am sure maybe some of the guys might wanna drop by on the thread, but I am not sure what in specific when it comes to mapdesign you might have in mind

Thanks for the advice.
I would actually like to develop relationships with mapmakers so I can provide on how to approach mapmaking by introducing elements of psychology. For example, Starcraft 2 currently puts an enormous strain on our crystallized intelligence which actually detracts from enjoyment. There needs to be an increased focus on fluid intelligence instead.
There are a lot of different tweaks I think can be made to make maps significantly more entertaining.rcraft.
And, thanks again for the info on the Discord server. I'll definitely check it out.

Hi Cloudy, it sounds very interesting and I would like to hear and discuss your thoughts over on discord. However I think many players enjoy the huge emphasis on fair competition (no RNG, symmetric maps, balanced (as possible) maps and races,..). But it is incredibly difficult to make the game fun/more interesting, without sacrificing balance/fair competition. -> so you cannot make everyone happy.
