TSL Ladder RulesYou can feel free to play whoever you want (not just other TSL players). You can also reset as many times as you wish. Complaints will be handled through the normal iCCup complaint system. - You must use ICCUP's Anti-Hack Launcher for every game.
- Smurf accounts
You must create an account with your known ID in it. Do not take this request lightly. If we find out you have been smurfing in any way, you will be disqualified. If you are worried about which ID you should use or whether this rule applies to you, ask Manifesto via private message.
Since all accounts must be new, we recommend gamers use a TSL- tag with their name. Ex. TSL-Nony, TSL-FakeSteve. If you find someone else using your known name, PM Manifesto.
If you feel that not smurfing gives you an unfair disadvantage, you must appeal to Mani. We will then give you a predetermined smurf name. Failure to do this will lead to disqualification.
If you want to change names, you must inform us.
No exceptions.
- You MUST create a new account. No old accounts.
- No transferring of stats.
- No hacking or abusing. Again, all ladder games must be played with ICCUP's anti-hack launcher.
The question on everyone's mind is "will previous hackers or abusers be allowed to play?" There will be no outright ban on previous hackers or abusers.
However, we reserve the right to ask everyone that qualifies for the Top 48 to comply with safety checks, for example installing an external anti-hack program of our choice and/or recording an FPVOD. If you do not fully comply with ALL of these requests, you will be disqualified and we'll just take player #49. It is that simple.
- No multiple or shared accounts.
- No Korean IP addresses.
- No letting others play on your account.
Penalties for violating rules include disqualification, ban from all future TSLs/TL.net events, ban from TL.net, and death.
You can start playing games before you are officially accepted into the team.
YOU MUST SEND A TEAM JOIN REQUEST IMMEDIATELY UPON REGISTERING.
However, it is up to you to make sure your account is accepted. If it was denied acceptance, you either already had stats on it, attempted to transfer, or are playing from a Korean IP address.
If you were denied, create a new account with 0-0 stats and do not attempt to transfer stats, or you will be banned.
If you want to play other TSL players, the default channel is "TSL Ladder" and if that becomes full, "TSL Ladder2" etc.

Ah I'm glad to see an addendum about an iccup channel. I think it's a good idea even though some people claim it's unnecessary.

If you are trying to login on the iccup site, type your login name and password and click the login button. Don't press enter, because it activates the "registration" button and not the "login" button.
It's a stupid design decision by iccup for their login form.

For the love of fucking god it's not April 1st so it can't be an April Fools joke. The April Fools joke will come tomorrow when they pretend it was a joke or that it was canceled or something.

You also have the option to drop from the team if you really don't want to participate.

Hey everyone. I want to say hello semioldguy and that I'm extremely jealous that you got to play one of the builds from Starcraft 2 in that tournament. I'm glad that you and your partner won. Well anyway, how do you register for the qualifying round on the iccup website, here at Team Liquid, or both? I'm kind of confused.

You only need to register at www.iccup.com to play. However, it's a good idea to have an account here with the same name, so we can associate it with your iccup account.

Anyone else have a problem with activating their account? It just goes to the main page for me when I click the activation link. ICCUP is not being very helpful.
edit: nvm, it worked, there's just no feedback and then I was hitting enter to login instead of clicking the enter button. =)

You don't need to activate it, just login on the server and play.

I'm very confused. The iCCup site and instructions aren't as noob-friendly as they could be.
I've registered for iCCUp, and from there I don't know what to do. I know it says download the iCCup launcher and maps, but there aren't specific instructions on how to do so. Are the maps the "Official maps of International Cyber Cup Season 2"? And which program is the "iCCup launcher"? Is that the "iccup_launcher_setup.exe" on the site? Also, how do I join the TSL team? What is a team?
I appreciate the effort and dedication put into the TSL, but as with everything, the noob-friendly instructions are a bit lacking.

Yes "iccup_launcher_setup.exe" sounds about right. The maps should be season 4, I think. You can look under the section files -> maps, or files -> files, both of which contain download links for the maps.

After you create an account, you can join a team by checking the team's page on iccup. For TSL its

Look in the section "Team Settings", and there should be a request to join team. Click that, wait a few minutes/hours until they approve you, and you're in!

Hey, I am having some trouble registering. I have registered my name, and when I click on the activation link in the e-mail, it brings me to the iccup.com home page. When I then enter my username//password, it just seems to refresh the page. So, to see if perhaps I made a careless spelling error on my password, I click "forgot password", but it seems to do the same thing and just refresh the page. Also, when trying to click the info/help tab, it seems to also refresh the page..
Any ideas of what's going on?
