wtf guys; hyuk has always been a bonjwa.

only problem was his mouse last year was made of his smelted msl and osl badges; thats why he performed so poorly. he just switched to a new mouse is all.

Shine is relatively new compared to Hyuk/Ruby, and he's been putting up incredibly better/more consistent results than last season. The same could be said for Hyuk's results, since he's been around forever and was just fucking awful, but in my book Shine is the most impressive this season.

Hyuk was always really good, he just got nervous and played hillariously bad on tv games. If you look at the games he won when he was "bad" he fucking raped whoever he had played.

For all the (well-deserved) flak T1 Zergs caught, Hyuk is really stepping up his game considerably. Given all the talent T1 has, did anyone REALLY think Hyuk is the one we'd all be talking about?

I didn't vote Hyuk because Hyuk has still proven that he is still bloody awful against Terran (look at his recent game against Sea), despite the fact he lives with some of the former and current great terrans. In addition, beating Stork (or any protoss player) on Heartbreak Ridge really shouldn't be considered a upset. The only thing really going for him is his improved skills against zerg but even that hasn't really been tested over a long period against players like Calm, Lux, and Effort - one or two wins against Jaedong doesn't mean you're the next big thing sorry.

You can't really say that these players have broken out if they've only played a few games this season. You can't say Movie broke out, because he's been pretty solid for a while. If I was forced to pick one, I'd pick Shine since he's a no namer whose achieved quite a bit this season getting into MSL and OSL - and there's doubt if he's actually breaking out or just plain lucky.

I was not saying Hyuk wasn't top player, I also voted for him.I was only saying that Movie has the right to be in this poll, and can be considered a brakeout player...as oposed to what #1 said.

Seriously though, I have to go with Movie here. I don't see Hyuk having very much staying power - he was nowhere when the maps weren't zerg favored, and I assume he'll be back to nowhere before long. Movie, on the other hand, is looking good and playing quite a lot right now, when many Protoss are not. For instance these are the toss players who have won their PvZ series to move on in the OSL:
