Apparently he`s struggling and not a top player as of now, but he would have good chances in Code A. Of Course it will not be easy, the qualifiers are so unforgiving (see Bomber, DRG), so I hope he can pull through.
not ready for code A = IEM 2nd Place? His list of accomplishments after next month will be huge.... mark my words. Everyone keeps saying his play has gotten figured out etc etc.... I remember he was the first protoss to hold the losira roach ling all in back in the day and his pheonix builds against both Terran and Zergs is just a beauty to watch. Still, I guess everyone forgot that this is the same guy who pretty much never lost to a foreigner in lan and has lost to top Koreans only..(yes monster is really good actually). All the MC doubters just wait ![](/mirror/smilies/clown.gif) He has slumped GSL wise, but with the patch and a new drive, he is going to dominate in many of his upcoming tournaments. <3 Mc fighting! Really, I don't think it's that he's play is figured out or anything, it's just currently he not playing well. He could very well come back quickly, but judging by his last 10 or 20 games, if he were an unknown player he would just being seen as a not very good protoss. I hope he'll bring back his old skill level quick, I was not a big fan of his for a long time but now I like him and want him to do well.
His run is quite comparable to what happened to MKP, he was good then suddenly he was bad. Now MKP is good again, so MC can do it too

I was one of the ones who voted Oz against Byun. Oh Oz is officially my favorite to win Code A this season. Just watch.

So this was done so foreigners could more quickly discover if they can just go home, or if they need to stick around for the up/downs. but, but I want to have my cake and eat it too ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif) Lol, i liked the more spaced out code A as well but it's understandable to try to make it more foreigner friendly especially with the MLG invites. I often find myself unable to keep up with all of the matches during the ro32 =(
Oh wells, too much starcraft 2 is hardly a bad thing =P

Great recap.
Glad we are seeing cool play out of the new breed of "protoss hero".
They are trying to innovate instead of simply QQing about the current state of protoss.

If I had remembered to vote I would have voted Oz too (honest!). Remember how awful Byun looked against Legal Mind in the Super Tournament?

Quite a few writing errors in the Selected Matches portion. The kind that disrupt the flow of reading. It didn't detract from the overall article but I found it off-putting. Good update none-the-less.

Awesome writeup, I'm glad Oz won because I liquibet him everytime!

Fionn's Quick Hit Predictions:
1. During the sC/Gumiho match, the casters will comment about how Gumiho looks like Leenock. This is the lock of the week, people. Put all your money on this one. It always happens and will continue till one of them grows a mustache.
2. There will be many bad YuGiOh jokes in the second match. 95% of them will consist of three things: Blue Eyes White Dragons, trap cards, and John's status as the Yu-Gi-Oh Bonjwa. But would you want it any other way?
3. Not one of the JYP/Oz games will go over 10 minutes.
4. One of the Sage/Lucky games will go over 30 minutes.
5. Polt's joining of TSL will improve JYP's PvT and turn it from terrible to slightly above average.
6. Code A Season 6 Final will be sC versus JYP.
7. JYP's improved PvT won't be enough and sC takes it with a score of 4-2.
8. YuGiOh will win his first Up-and-Down match and proceed to lose the next three. Dammit.
1 was check 2 was definite check, blue eyes white dragon even got mentioned by doa. wow. 3 close, but i think 1 went to 11? 4 good games overall 5 no clue, he lost 6 gumiho UPSET. OZ UPSET. 7 see 6 8 we'll see
lol not terrible predictions though fionn!
