Does anyone want to play this players from my home site (mafia451)?
Team Terrorist vs Team President.
One player is the bomb, one player is the president.
Alignments are unknown, but you can share your role pm with other players at any time.
2 PTs, players divided 50/50 between them.
Every night players get to vote to send 2 members from their PT to the other PT instead.
Discussion resumes at day start.
At the start of day 5, bomb goes boom!
If the president is dead, team Terrorist wins.
If the president is alive, team president wins.

I modded this at Gen Con, the creators are cool dudes.
It's a blast IRL, I really can't even imagine how it goes in forum lel

Like there's a card that is used as proof of one's alignment, one of the actions allowed is showing someone your card, or its color, like....how does that shit even WORK?!

Well, I'm hoping to simulate this with PTs, usually when I take on games and try to convert them for forum, it's a LOT of moderator work.. hopefully not for this one :D
Shadow Hunters is a nightmare to run on forum. (not bad to play on a forum though)

Well then I'll /in just out of sheer curiosity.

I am also interested in what is PT. If you explain how you're going to make the role/team reveal things work properly on forum i am intereseted in playing. I played live once, we had like 30 ppl in a board gaming "festival". I found the game pretty boring live at least with that many people, like in both rooms about 3-5 were completely cut off all discussion because they were "no use" for the team holding majority.

I have never played it. Not really sure if I get the rules yet. But if I'm available I might try it.

PT is probably private thread, i get it now. The rules seem to be bit different than with how i played. Basically the idea of the game is that people are randomly divided to two rooms (rooms cannot talk with each other and cannot see what the other room does). Each room chooses X number of players to swap rooms each day. After X number of days the game ends and if the bomb is that time in the same room with the president, terrorists win. If the bomb is in the other room than the president, "town" wins.

Oh. Not sure I care to play then. Sounds like a chance game. I'm not much into that.

It's not, it's like a mafia game (albeit not as good as mafia imo).

It's actually BETTER than mafia on the social interaction tip because of all the different kinds of information that occur in an actual game - given the caveat that EVERYONE knows how to play and EVERYONE knows the angles, which is almost never the case XD
It's like Secret Hitler in that way - mafia but better in some ways, worse in others.
